I was scrolling through Facebook the other day and came across a bunch of comments on Ann Taylor Loft's wall about people bashing stripes. They were complaining that stripes are unflattering on anyone under a size 2 and wanting the trend to stop.
Reality check-I am not a size 2 and still like to rock stripes! You just have to find a type of stripe that works for you and style it to make yourself feel fabulous.

I LOVE your outfit, and totally agree with u about stripes, it's like my favorite pattern to create an outfit with :)
ReplyDeleteI love the outfit! The mix of patterns, looks great!
ReplyDeleteI'm by no means a small person and I still like to rock stripes, too. :) My blog post yesterday has me wearing a wide stripe, too! I think there are no rules when it comes to fashion. If it looks good on you, wear it! :)

you do rock the stripes! love that cardi too :)
ReplyDeleteAMEN! And rock them, you do. :) I'm not a fan of fashion "rules" like don't wear horizontal stripes, short chicks can't wear cropped pants, white on the bottom makes you look wider...eh, who cares. If you like it, wear it!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl! You look FABULOUS! Love the mix of the patterned sweater with your stripes! And that pop of red in your necklace is perfection :)

I picked this really cute striped maxi dress to try on at Forever 21 and my hubby wasn't sure it would work on me and then he saw it on me and now it's in my closet. ;-)
