The Hand Smoother

Hand Smoother

The Hand Smoother

Ever notice how people ask your age and then look at your hands? Well you don’t have to
give it away. During different seasons our overall skin condition can look and feel drier and our
hands tend to suffer the most.  Gentle hand exfoliation is great to do on a regular basis to improve skin texture, tone and smoothness.  Follow with your favorite hand cream.

Ingredients~

4oz. ground almonds or almond meal
4 tsp almond oil
4tsp lemon juice
1 ½-2 oz organic goat milk yogurt

Put all of the ingredients into the Blendtec Twister Vessel (or your own blender) and blend until smooth, to a thick consistency. Use about the size of a walnut and rub over both hands as if you were using soap, for one to two minutes, rinse off and apply hand cream….Voila!

Store remaining product in a glass container, label and keep in the refrigerator up to two weeks. Use daily or two to three times a week depending on skin condition.

Thanks so much to Nina Curtis for providing this recipe for the blog!

Old Navy top (old) and jeans (click here to purchase), Target earrings, Bandolino wedges purchased from Zappos (shop similar here)

I love bright colors on tan (errr, burnt skin).  Sometimes wearing grey jeans makes me feel dark and gloomy but when paired with something super bright it gives it that extra pop.

Happy Hump Day!

Can't Beat The Heat

June 10, 2014

005 003 007 001
Old Navy dress (old) and jean jacket (click here to purchase), Francesca's hoop earrings, N.Y.L.A. thong sandals from DSW

In the warmer months you just can't beat sundresses to look put together and keep cool.  Even after four years, I still pull this Old Navy dress out because I love the bright colors, it has pockets (HELLO) and it's loose and flowy so it doesn't stick to me in this weather.

What "oldies but goodies" do you still pull out every season?

Simple Is Better

June 9, 2014

001 003 005 004
Loft top, Tory Burch Miller sandals (click here to purchase), JC Penny cargo pants, Kayce Hughes necklace (click here to purchase)

My philosophy for keeping cool in the spring/summer time is simple.

 Less is more.

Layering just makes me sticky and sweaty when the temps get up to the 90's so a simple top and pants/skirt combo or a dress you can easily throw on (along with jewelry) is my foolproof way to go.
