After wearing my hippie Halloween costume I am just on a roll with the 60's vibe! I forgot that I bought this tunic because I still have been reaching for short sleeves and my cardigans so I have not really gotten into the whole long sleeve shirt thing yet. This shirt would look awesome with skinny jeans and boots but since I cannot do the whole jeans-at-work-thing I had to throw on my brown slacks. This is a prime example of thinking you look okay but then you take pictures for the blog and realize this looks awful together!!!! The proportions are all wrong here...it's to flowy and makes me look bigger than I really am and what women would ever want that!
The only reason I posted these pictures (against my better judgement) is because I am trying to be honest and post almost, everyday. Today is the last day of hubs and I mini getaway and I cannot wait to post pictures of our trip!
Target tunic shirt
New York & Company pants
Nine West shoes purchased at TJ Maxx
Forever 21 sunnies
Claire's earrings
Oh man, that happens to me too! Did you change? What did you change into?
ReplyDeleteOh honesty, lol ;) Well I personally don't think the outfit is bad. But the top definitely needs skinny pants to balance the flowiness. Both pieces are great on their own though! I've had to delete a few pictures I took when I first started my blog. I looked back on them one night and thought, "what the hell was I thinking?" It happens to everyone!!
ReplyDeletewe all have those days when we think something works, but then discover its a huge failure -- but that tunic is so pretty, and it will be fabulous with some skinny pants!

Kinsey-I ended up wearing the outfit all day long....oops!!
ReplyDeleteI hate when that happens. It happened to me yesterday. Boo. That is a gorgeous tunic, though.
ReplyDeleteOh, I can't wear jeans to work either!! Somedays all I want to wear are jeans...or sweatpants. Whatev.

I love the colours of the tunic - very boho chic! It would probably look better with skinny jeans to balance out the volume. but you still look great and smiling which is all that matters!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy sister and I swapped some clothes this week and this is one of the items I now have! I think I'm going to try to roll up the sleeves and make it more of a warm-weather top and pair it with skinny jeans and heels.
