Snow Day...

December 15, 2010

I took a vacation day today and you know what that means....snow (play) day for me!!! Okay, not really because I still have more presents to buy, more presents to wrap, more presents to think up that people can buy me.

I have spent more money this year on gifts than I ever have before...what recession? I keep finding things that I know my sister would love, or that my grandmother would cherish forever and somehow the actual meaning of Christmas got pushed to the wayside. I am not about to sit here on my fashion blog and discuss religion but sometimes I need to be reminded that Jesus is the reason for the season and it's not all about presents or a key sales event for retailers and businesses.

This reminder is mostly for myself because I have gotten carried away this holiday season gifting so many material things but if you also needed a gentle reminder I am glad I was here to help.

American Eagle sweater and shirt

TJ Maxx skinny jeans

Snow Boots I have had for ages

Burberry scarf

  1. I love your snow day look. And how cool that you went crazy on spending for other people and not yourself. That tells me that you are a pretty awesome person. stay warm.

  7. I just found an AE sweater like the one you are wearing, and I've been contemplating whether to keep it, craft it up/modify it or give it away --- you've given a big point in the "keep" category. You look cute, casual and ready for snow!
