Daytime Sparkle

January 2, 2015

Old Navy jeans (click here to purchase), Gwynnie Bee Karen Kane top (click here to join), Target necklace (click here to purchase), NYX Matte Lip Cream in Amsterdam (click here to purchase), Sigerson Morrison wedge boots purchased at Marti and Liz

This is what I wore on New Year's Eve...to the office.

I actually went to a pajama party on NYE (don't believe me-check my Instagram) and I really wanted to wear something sparkly to work but not go overboard and this was the end result.

This necklace is so amazing and still at Target right now and this Karen Kane top had the perfect amount of understated shimmer. I linked up to both above.

Sparkle and Shine

October 2, 2012

Sometimes...especially on the weekends...you just need to have a little sparkle in your life. This is what I wore to one of my friend's surprise birthday party and if Kohl's would have had this top in more colors-you better believe I would have bought them all!

The Closet Conspiracy!

December 14, 2010

It is amazing to me how I can walk into the same closet day in and day out and have a completely different outlook on my clothes on any given day. Take today for instance-I try on one skirt, one top and voila! I have my 3rd Christmas party to go to after work so I am sticking to my holiday 101 rule and the outfit was much easier to pick out. (Maybe I need to try out Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge next time to simplify my closet) Most days it takes me a countless rotation of skirts, dresses and tops before I am satisfied enough to walk out the door.

It's gonna be a good day...I love when my closet cooperates! Don't forget to enter the GAP giftcard giveaway ending this Friday!!!

Hidden Talents....

November 22, 2010

So Friday after work my girlfriends and I had game night and I discovered my hidden talent of....writing rap songs! I bet no one saw that coming...what can I say I've got mad skills! I would bust out in an impromptu performance if ya''ll were here but since for most of you that includes traveling to Tennessee, I am out. At this point in my budding career no one has picked up any of my music and until that happens I am just a starving new artist (picture me as the up and coming Eminem except I'm female and I don't hate the entire world).

Another hidden talent I have is wearing these sparkle shoes with plain, boring cargo pants. Wait, I take that back Mr. Cargo Pants...you are actually one of my favorite items in my closet right now!

A couple weeks ago Ashley from Ashley Getting Dressed came up with a brilliant idea for a swap. Everyone that entered was assigned a partner and you had to put together a small package to send and the theme was "Earrings, Rings and Other Sparkly Things". My swap buddy was Vivian from Diamonds and Tulle and I had so much fun picking out her pieces based on what she wore in her blog. She is the one who needs to get credit if you like my scarf because this was one of my sparkly gifts, thanks Vivian!!! We both choose Forever 21 to purchase items for each other...that place is the go-to-store for all kinds of stuff.
