Rainbow Brite!

Ahhh, remember Rainbow Brite? It was right up there with Strawberry Shortcake and Fraggle Rock...man, I love being a child of the 80's!! I feel like I have on a rainbow of muted colors in this outfit and it makes me in a great mood or maybe it's because it's Friday. I keep expecting to hear "Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah" playing in the background and all the flowers and trees to turn their smiling heads towards me as I prance down the cobblestone path to work. Ok, so I take the interstate to work but everything else really could happen!

Tonight I am laying low to prepare myself for my first college tailgate experience of the season. Friday night ain't what it used to be folks (or maybe it's the whole born in the 80's thing, I am getting old). I will make up for it Saturday though since I will be on campus watching those young college folk shotgunning beers out in the parking lot AND probably show them a thing or two about how to party...after college style! Have a totally radical weekend!

The Long and Short Of It...

I am trying to get all the wear I can out of my maxi dresses before they have to retire to the back of my closet. I think the end of fall season will be my maxi limit unless you would like to see me parading around in a long fur coat, maxi dress and combat boots but then you would mistake me for Mary Kate Olsen!

Last night was the first time hubs and I have stayed in our new condo...yay for us! It felt a little strange getting ready in a new place, not really knowing where anything was. It is a miracle I made it outta the house without mismatched shoes, stripes on top of polka dots, and some lace and leopard thrown in the mix. I just named some of the current trends for fall...minus the mismatched shoes of course!

Mama's Got A Brand New Bag!

I have a couple of bags that most people would consider pricey (Burberry, Coach) but my taste changes with the times aka trends so I like buying affordable purses that I won't miss terribly if they fall apart. I ordered this purse from Forever 21 and so far so good! It looks more expensive than it really was and in the rich chocolate color, you really can't go wrong.

I also got a steal of a deal on this cute navy dress. Perfect for work and then out for drinks with friends (yes, I have worn it to both occasions). I feel like a million bucks even if the entire outfit only cost me about $70 total but hey...I won't tell if you don't!
