Times Are A Changing...

November 24, 2010

Before I started this blog I would have never, ever worn this head to toe look. When you think about it how does a crazy print dress, leopard belt, pointelle knit tights and camel colored boots even go together??? The answer is, they probably don't but I don't care anymore. I use to think that everything had to be so structured and matchy matchy but this blog had pushed me totally out of my comfort zone and for that I am grateful.

After I started following other bloggers and seeing all the different styles around me, I am becoming more and more comfortable wearing what makes me happy. If I want to pile on tons of jewelry like Rachel Zoe instead of the standard only one big statement piece..I will. If I want to bare my legs and my shoulders instead of balancing it out doing one or the other...I can. Hell, if I want to apply bold eyeshadow AND lip color...I am gonna do it! (that last comment was only because I got on a roll with my girl power)

I am gonna quote the always trendy and ever so knowledgeable En Vogue when I say, "Free your mind and the rest will follow." Think about applying this to fashion and a whole new world opens up right before your eyes!

  2. i love your outfit! As long as the colors are still in the same palette you can clash the patterns and shapes, that's what i always think ;)

  15. Love how you stepped out of your comfort zone and experimented a little! I think your outfit is gorgeous and definitely not too "out there" or OTT. I think the key is that your cardi is in a block colour which kind of ties everything together. And the fact that you are not wearing any complicated accessories. It works a dream!!
btw - was that En Vogue song in one of the recent eps of Modern Family??!!
