Please tell me I am not the only person that hoards clothes and doesn't wear them right away! I have had this skirt since the beginning of summer and today was the first time I have worn it. I am always waiting for somewhere special so I can wear something new or just the right occasion and I need to get over that mentality and start wearing my stuff.  At least this skirt can be worn into next season with tights, boots and a sweater so I can get more out of it.

Green, Black and White

Some things in my closet have been around for years and this green top is one of them. I bought it at Forever 21 and it has been worn time and time again which is rare for clothing from that store. Normally I wear it with jeans but I decided to dress it up a bit so it would be work appropriate. Just another reason I should keep it in my closet.

Good vs. Evil

The conflict between good and evil went on for about an hour and a half yesterday afternoon in my head until 5pm rolled around and I pushed my thoughts aside for the reminder of the night. The inner struggle was brought on by a co-worker putting in her 6 day (standard practice when resigning from a job is two weeks) notice at my office.

Good: She is finally in a financial place to be a housewife and I am happy for her

Evil: I WISH I could stay at home all day and do nothing

Good: This means I moved up in value to the company because I am the only Recruiter left

Evil: I have to do twice as much work because she is quitting and I am not getting paid for it

Good: I still get to take off for the Thanksgiving holiday

Evil: She was supposed to work after Christmas and she just quit...oh hell no!

Good: I can get more work done and less chatting about anything/everything

Evil: Who am I gonna gossip with now that she is leaving

Good: She gets to spend more time with her family

Evil: I WANT to be able to spend time with my family during the day, when everyone else is at work

I cannot stop the voices in my head...it's madness!

Tuesday Morning...

So sorry about missing an outfit post yesterday...I really do feel guilty!! I just couldn't get out of bed Monday morning to save my life and in turn it caused a nasty clothing decision on my part and well....you just didn't need to see that!

I needed a day to recover after the weekend I had. My entire family was in town so we were on the go constantly all weekend long. We shopped for new furniture for the condo on Friday during my lunch break then went to a nice dinner that night AND Chris Lambton from this season's The Bachelorette was there!!! All the girls in the restaurant were swooning and he is mighty good looking in person if I say so myself.

All That Glitters...

I kindda have a fashion crush on this skirt! I was browsing in Forever 21 the other day and just happen to pick it up thinking just what I need, another black work skirt. When I tried it on I fell in lust with the ruffle detail on the side and the fact that it had a elastic waistband totally sealed the deal. By the way...I will SO be one of those little old ladies that wear elastic pants all the time when I get older.

So, what do you guys think about sequins at work? I have seen so many other bloggers recently wearing glitter to the work place that I jumped on the bandwagon! I have not worn this sequin top since New Year's Eve because when I think of sequins I think about New Year's, the Las Vegas party scene, etc. but it is becoming quite the trend so what the heck. I kind of like the way the overall outfit turned out and as long as I tone the sequins down and don't walk into work one day looking like a over sized disco ball this is one trend I will sporting more of!
