Friend Date

Every now and then, you need a friend date smack dab in the middle of the day. This is what I wore to get manicures and pedicures and lunch (with cocktails) with two of my best girlfriends.

Layers On Layers

 I love when it gets cold enough to layer and layer and layer. I hate being cold so adding a bunch of layers helps eliminate the need for a jacket and when I get inside, if I need to remove something I can. 

Today my base layer is a simple white pocket tee + denim button down + chunky sweater cardigan. Add a pair of skinny jeans and some short boots and I am ready for the day.

My Khaki Uniform

 I have had these khaki's for about seven years now and haven't been able to fit into them until recently. I swear they are even a little big now...if you are looking to shed a few (or a lot of pounds) I can not say enough good things about Weight Watchers! I am down -48.8 pounds in just six months and it's amazing how much better I feel.

Coffee Loves Me

Since I am losing weight I have been wearing a mix of old and new items. I am basically re-shopping my closet and it is so much fun. Some of my clothing I have not been able to wear since 2009 (like my rehearsal dinner dress that I can now fit into again!)

This tee, however, is new and has a high-low thing going on so it is perfect with jeans, leggings, you name it.  I sized up to an XL to give myself more coverage if I do wear it with leggings.  I am loving all the graphic t-shirts at Target right now and almost all of them are under 15 bucks.

Party Dress

 I hosted a baby shower this past Sunday and this is what I wore. I had to document it because it's so rare I get dressed up anymore especially wearing a pair of heels. I used to rock heels every, single day until I became pregnant and became a mommy. Some of you longtime readers probably remember...so much has changed over the past two years with my personal style.

Button Front Denim Skirt

 

 I love that the button front denim skirt is making a comeback! All these trends that were popular when I was younger are coming back in style...makes me wish I was a hoarder and saved a bunch of stuff from my high school days.

Floral and Ruffles and Mint Jeans

Well...I joined StitchFix and I am finally getting around to reviewing the personal styling delivery experience. First of all- I bought these jeans from my first "fix" and signed up to receive another one this month so I obviously liked it. Since my personal stylist has never worked with me before I was pretty impressed that I actually bought at least one thing out of my box. I have never owned a pair of jeans this color and they fit perfectly...the brand is Lila Ryan (a new-to-me brand). This time around I added a detailed personal note to my stylist asking for more specific pieces and I cannot wait to see what she comes up with.  I am thinking about reviewing each piece she sends me...is that something you would be interested in seeing?

Yellow and Navy

One of the absolute best things about losing weight is I am able to shop my own closet. Everything I am wearing is a couple years old but fits so much better now that I have shed 34 pounds. I had this skirt on Poshmark for about 6 months because it was so tight on me but now it fits perfectly so I took it off and decided to keep it.
