Sunny Petals

 I am currently in Key West, FL. but wanted to share this bright sunny outfit with y'all. I love the yellow top and how it matches my buttercups that are blooming all over the yard. This weather in Tennessee is crazy!
 Everything is blooming so early.

This is the first "adult only" vacation I have been on since having my twins 16.5 months ago and the longest by FAR I have ever gone without seeing them. Pray that I am doing okay without my babies...although I think a couple of fruity cocktails should do the trick:)

Winter Neutrals

Is anybody else in a winter style rut?? I am so uninspired right now when the weather is so cold and gloomy and I find myself reaching for the same things over and over. Today it's the same jeans I always wear from Old Navy and a top I have had for years.

Easy Casual Outfit

Any time I am running late I always grab some sort of version of this for a easy, casual outfit. Jeans, some sort of cardigan along with a basic tee and flats and I can be out the door in record time.

Party Dress

 I hosted a baby shower this past Sunday and this is what I wore. I had to document it because it's so rare I get dressed up anymore especially wearing a pair of heels. I used to rock heels every, single day until I became pregnant and became a mommy. Some of you longtime readers probably remember...so much has changed over the past two years with my personal style.

Baroque Floral Print

 This baroque floral print dress feels very Parisian chic to me like I should be strolling the streets with a latte and taking in the scenery.  I love the keyhole tie front and the flared sleeves...I wanted to dress it down so I added my ankle flats instead of heels for a easy work look.

My family was in town this past weekend and I had the best time.  We drank too much wine, ate lots of food and laughed.  Every time they come visit I get sad living far away from there even if it's only a three hour drive.

Dip Dye Boyfriend Button Down

I am beyond obsessed with this boyfriend button down shirt. The dip dye on the bottom makes it unique as well as the purple color. I almost wish it was going to be colder a little longer so I could get more wear out of it...almost.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  Mine was spend taking care of the twins, watching the Masters and getting my wedding rings re-sized.  Apparently my feet AND hands swelled during my pregnancy and while my feet went back to normal, my hands never did.  I have tried getting them fixed once before but the jeweler told me to wait because my hormones were still so outta wack and see if they fit closer to 6 months postpartum.  Unfortunately they never went back to my size 6 finger so after a LONG 8 months without wearing rings (during the end of pregnancy plus the past 6 months after having them) I am reunited with my precious rings.  I missed them so much!

Pattern At Play

 

 Another work week ends...another successful Gwynnie Bee dress to get me through said work week. Don't get me wrong, I have had some awful dress mishaps with the service that went straight back without me even wearing them out of the house but this package of items were fabulous. 

 Take this Leota dress for instance- the fit-and-flare design has some stretch, full skirt and some ruching in the tummy area to camouflage my baby bump or bloat (some days I can't decide what is bigger).  

Speaking of the babies..my 14 week appointment is at 9am this morning.  I am so excited to see them!  Even though it's only been three weeks...since I cannot feel them moving around yet I take great comfort in being able to see them on the ultrasound screen and making sure they are okay.  According to one of my baby apps (don't ask how many I have on my phone) they are doubling in size every week now so I bet they are so big compared to my last one.

 I am so glad I ended up buying this Kayce Hughes necklace last year. I love those impulse buys that end up being something you reach for again and again and this is one of them. If you have a Kayce Hughes store in your area definitely check it out! They have such cute classy pieces...check the store out online- I have my eye on this and this. I am going home next weekend for my mom's birthday so I won't get to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom but the card is already in the mail and she gets a birthday gift next weekend so I think she will be happy. A group of my friends are getting together on Sunday to do brunch since all of our parents live out of town.
