Layered Hem Cami Dress

July 12, 2017

DSCN6484[1]

I love this new layered hem cami dress I ordered from Shein. I was needing something "extra" to put in my cart to get free shipping HA and I added this just as a afterthought. Some of my favorite pieces in my closet are items I didn't really love but loved once I got and tried on.

Also, theses amazing tassel earrings are from Amazon believe it or not and only cost $7.99!  I linked everything below.

Happy Valentine's Day

DSCN6201

I am in love with the fit of this dress. I am wearing a XS and it fits like a glove...it could be a tad looser in the bust but otherwise perfection.

I thought this was the ideal outfit to wear for a Valentine's Day date. My husband and I actually celebrated this past Friday with lunch and a early movie while we had a babysitter to watch the kids. We will take what we can get- ha!

Hope you have a fabulous love day.

Cerulean Blue

I'm a little late posting these but this is what I wore on Easter Sunday. This BB Dakota dress is so comfortable and I absolutely loved the back even though it dips pretty low and showed my bra a couple times (my sister kept pointing it out to me) but thankfully my hair is so long you couldn't really notice. The dress is a crepe material that doesn't winkle which is perfect for my lifestyle right now carting around kids on my hips.

I have hardly wore heels at all since having my twins so when I saw these Betseyville studded flats on the Target website I purchased them right away! They are a perfect dupe for the Valentino studded sandals that retail for $900 and these are only $32.99. They currently have a wait-list for the black and tan pair so sign up ASAP if you want some!

Lace Sleeves LBD

I love the lace detailing on this LBD. It also has ruching side panels that I think hurt me more than they helped me, but that wasn't going to stop me from wearing it. Even though it's the beginning of May I felt comfortable wearing long sleeves yesterday morning to church and didn't get hot at all. The rest of this week is supposed to get up to 80 degrees though so I will be sticking to cooler fabrics but I am not complaining!

Vintage Easter

Sometime new isn't always better. Take this vintage dress for instance...I wanted to wear something different that no one else would have on for Easter Sunday so I reached for one of my favorite thrifted finds. This dress was the perfect color for a beautiful Easter day, I looked like a Easter egg:)

Sunday Best

February 23, 2015

009

Hey y'all! Happy Monday!

Did anyone else get all dressed up in their "Sunday best" and watch the Oscar's? I actually just like watching the red carpet part aka the interviews and the fashion. To tell you the truth I was clueless about most of the nominees (except American Sniper...you would have to live under a rock to miss all the buzz that movie has created).

Onto my outfit...the lining of the dress is blush if you can't tell. Blush is having such a moment right now and I also just ordered this blush/pink Forever 21 sweater (stay tuned for a review on the blog) for my second pale pink item in my closet. I love how this Taylor dress hugs the right places and swings away from the body on my problem areas.  The black lace overlay also helps to conceal making this dress figure flattering AND elegant.

Shift dresses are my all time favorite type of dress; they work perfect for my body shape and the fit is timeless and classic.

This geometric shape navy and white dress is just perfect for Spring (wishful thinking) but for now colored tights and boots will have to work if I want to wear it before then.

Weekend Brunch Attire and a Poshmark Party

Elizabeth and James wedges (shop similar here), Fashion Bug dress (old), Francesca's necklace (other fun options here and here), Vera Bradley sunglasses (shop similar here)

We did Mother's Day brunch at the country club on Sunday and it was the perfect excuse to wear my (new to me) Elizabeth and James wedges.  I have been on the hunt for these shoes ever since I saw them on Poshmark but they were marked for way more than I was willing to spend.  After stalking eBay on a daily basis I finally found them and got them for $39.99 and couldn't believe my good fortune.

Join me tonight as I co-host a virtual Posh Party (the theme is Girly Basics) at 7PM PDT. Hope to see you there!

How To Wear A Full Skirt...

April 1, 2013

Wearing a full skirt on someone that is not a size 2 or 4 can be tricky to pull off without making you look larger...at least in my personal opinion.  I played around with different tops, cardigans, and button downs before settling on this slouchy sweater that I knew I could belt (belting any top with this type of skirt on my figure was a given).  To play up the retro feel of the skirt I added a vintage belt and purse in multiple colors, all with shades of the same mustard tone to tie it all together.

Get your own colorblocked skirt from eShakti-they offer sizing from 0-36W along with custom-styling changes.  (I customized mine by making it knee length and added pockets)
