I waited too long to wear this Loft peplum top on the blog and now it is sold out on the website.  The obvious reason (besides the color-blocking and modern fit) that I bought this top was because I knew it would look great with any pair of denim I have in my closet.  

Turns out it pairs pretty well with my floral printed pants too...

I was browsing through Marshall's the other day and the print on this Max Studio maxi skirt caught my eye.  It is the softest fabric ever and I really felt like I was wearing pajamas all day at work.

We did Mother's Day brunch at the country club on Sunday and it was the perfect excuse to wear my (new to me) Elizabeth and James wedges.  I have been on the hunt for these shoes ever since I saw them on Poshmark but they were marked for way more than I was willing to spend.  After stalking eBay on a daily basis I finally found them and got them for $39.99 and couldn't believe my good fortune.

Well...it happened! I finally branched out and bought skinny jeans someplace other than Old Navy. Don't get me wrong- I am still obsessed with the Old Navy RockStar jeans but something about the classic dark blue wash and the ankle zippers won me over at Loft.  (It comes in six different washes if the dark blue isn't your thing)

I had to have this hot pink flare skirt the second I saw it (BONUS-it has pockets and it's on sale).  It felt good to get dressed up for work after alternating between my pajamas and my work out clothes all weekend long.  Don't get me wrong...I love me a lazy weekend but it's always nice to head out of the house with something new on!

Yesterday I was off work and cleaned out my whole entire closet.  It was an all day affair but I purged so many dresses so check out my Poshmark closet cause everything needs a new home!

Over the weekend I ate lunch with girlfriends and we went and saw The Other Woman (such a good GNO movie and so funny) and this is what I wore. I have worn this Forever 21 top nonstop but this is the first time making it on the blog.
You can never have enough stripes in your closet.

I love these printed pants and finally found a way to incorporate them into my business casual office environment.  Flats, toned down colors (since the pants have a lot going on pattern wise) and a simple statement necklace keeps the outfit from being overly flashy.

It's the time of year when the weather can be very up in the air throughout the day...cold in the morning but warming up in the afternoons.

 Layering is key!

The last time I wore this Loft dress was with tights, tall boots and a denim vest back when snow was still on the ground.  Transitioning this long sleeved dress was as simple as bare legs, ankle boots and my denim jacket for the early morning and chilly evenings.
