I am so FREAKIN excited to see Sex and the City 2 tonight with tons of my girlfriends!! I am even leaving work an hour early to go home and get ready and I am sure the theatre will be a mini fashion show so I will have my camera charged and ready!

This is an outfit that I wore to work this week when I was feeling particularly blah and the colors of the outfit showed that. Note to self for next time...wear some color on top to balance out the skirt and avoid looking washed out. (you live and learn what can I say) I really, really like the pair of shoes I am wearing though. They are Max Studio brand and I got them for only $24.99 which is a steal!!

I Am Alive...

I am sooooo sorry I have been absent from the blog! It has just been one thing after another since I got home from my Miami trip. I have been dealing with QUITE a bit of work drama and trying to wrap my head around the franchise that I work for being bought by corporate headquarters and all the changes that are about to take place. They are laying off 4 employees right away and all the rest of us are safe for now but alot of quota's are about to be put in place that we have never had to deal with before AND everyone knows about working in sales...if you don't meet your quota you get kicked to the curb! So yeah, my stress level is through the roof!!

We have a ton of conference calls and meetings set up within the next month before we go live as a corporate office so it is business as usual...times a thousand!!! That being said I do what every normal shopaholic does when I need to blow off some steam, I go shopping! This is what I bought over the weekend.

My Bags Are Packed...

I am leavin on a jet plane...don't know when I'll be back again! (That is such a lie, I will be back on Sunday but I just wanted to sing that song from Armageddon)

Striped Fun

I almost forgot about today's post I have been so preoccupied with shopping and packing for my Miami trip!! I have been trying to plan outfits so I don't over pack and have to pay extra if my suitcase is to heavy at the stupid airport. At least I know the dress I got to wear out on the town Friday night will be a hit...when I modeled it for hubs he got all mad and said it was too short and I should take it back meaning it was sexy and he doesn't want me wearing it without him!

I ordered this dress from Francesca's about a week ago and it finally came on Friday (they didn't have my size at the store). I got inspired by my friend Tara who loves the nautical look and created my own take on the nautical style around my new black and white striped dress.

I just wanted to mention two of my best dressed friends from the barbecue we had last Saturday! Both looks VERY trendy and ready for Spring!

The Working for the Weekend TEE...

Today is the last day of the t-shirt challenge and I very much feel like a teacher or secretary in this outfit...and a trendy one at that! I got this skirt at Target and immediately picked it up off the rack even though I overheard two ladies talking about it like a piece of garbage. "That color will be hard to match AND it will go out of style soon," I believe were the words that came out of one women's mouth. After hearing that convo the fashion blogger in me was determined to make the skirt work. Pairing it with yellow cardigan and a red necklace to complete the look makes me feel like spring is officially here.

On another note I am leaving for South Beach, Miami in less than a week and I have no clue what to take!! I have never been to the city where the heat is on, all night on the beach till the break of dawn or so Will Smith says so ANYONE that knows fun places to party, go out to eat and of course shop let me know!

Okay, the title is a little bit of a fib because if you wanna get technical this outfit is reddish orange, white and blue and yellow. The focus is the t-shirt challenge this week anyways so moving along...I will show my pride on the 4th of July. (sheesh)

It was actually hot enough outside for shorts AND it was not raining for once so I was super excited to bee bop outside for my mini photo shoot. If you are like me with the blogs I follow and scroll down right away to check out the outfit THEN read the post that goes along with it you might have noticed that I branched out yet again and went outside my comfort zone (backyard) to take today's pics. I know I said it was humiliating for those little punks to spy on me the other day, but when I looked out my window and saw all the flowers growing at an office building within walking distance from my backyard I couldn't help to wander over there. I would have pulled some kung fu moves on those little kids this time around!!

The Casual TEE...

I have been in a mood all week long and the mood has NOT been a good one! I think my equilibrium was thrown off course this past Saturday when I went to a barbecue and had to much fun and Stella aka Ashley has not gotten her groove back!

Today I deemed casual tee day and put my t-shirt underneath a comfy Old Navy dress and just called it a day. Here's hoping the second half of the week is much better!!
