The real issue since going off of birthday control is my poor skin. I am guessing my little ole hormones are going kindda crazy right now and that is the cause of my breaking out like a 16 year old teenage girl. I mean...really...I am wayyyy to old to be dealing with this. Please, someone, tell me that this is normal and shall pass?

That necklace is gorgeous! Statement pieces like that are great! And YAY for babies!! ;-) Whenever it happens, you'll be the cutest preggo ever!
ReplyDeleteThat necklace is AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteAnd I recently stopped birth control for the same reason...and my skin has been terrible lately. I never linked the two, but it makes sense. You still look great!
I love your turquoise pumps! So cute!
ReplyDeleteAmen about post-birth control hormones. Hang in there. Wait until they're out of your system for awhile and then you'll feel fantastic--of course, barring you don't get pregnant before then. ;) I haven't taken the pill in just over 6 years--it ended up taking longer to have a baby than we expected and then I got the Mirena IUD because I did NOT want to put that junk back in my body.
Can't wait to see your cute maternity outfits!
You look absolutely gorgeous. I love those pumps and that necklace! And OMG. I stopped and my face BLEW UP. So bad that I just went back on it.

The necklace is to-die-for. Adult acne is the worst- hopefully you will regulate everything soon!
ReplyDeleteThe pill supposedly helps clear up acne, so it makes sense you'd break out after going off of it. I'm sure it'll work itself out eventually. :)
ReplyDeleteLove the necklace!
Love the necklace! And that skirt has been added to my wishlist... it may be my first purchase after the 30 for 30 challenge
ReplyDeleteI had the same problem coming off birth control. I'm pretty sure it's just your hormones going nutso.
ReplyDeleteI love that skirt and that beautiful necklace. I love black and turquoise together.
I love that necklace!! Francesca's collection is so awesome for stuff like that.
ReplyDeleteSee, I'm the opposite, I'm hesitating to go ON birth control because it turns me into a crazy person!!
YES. My skin goes crazy when I go off BC. Try using ProActiv. I adore the stuff and actually just went back on it. I am weaning my one year old and getting the hormonal breakouts. Even if you have one or two zits, it makes your whole face brighter and clearer, I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteAhhh! I love Francesca's and I love love love your necklace! Such a statement! It complements the polka dot skirt! Also, I'm gonna have to spend some time at Urban Outfitters after this remix...
ReplyDeleteGoing off the pill will do that to you. I went to a dermatologist that prescribed an antibiotic until my body could regulate itself. Post pill acne is very common and it will work itself out. I had more problems being on the pill then I do now. I have been pill free for 9 months. I will take a zit or two compared to how I felt while I was on it. I was very tired, gained weight, and I hated what it did to my hair. Hang in there and see a derm.
ReplyDeleteYay! for trying! that is so exciting! i wish you guys the best of luck!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the sweet comments girl. I am still loving the hair. I am dying over your pumps and necklace! Love that they match!!
ReplyDeleteI love that you wear skirts and dresses so much Ashley. I get so tired of seeing people at work who don't look professional!
ReplyDeleteFirst, you look gorgeous and all itty bitty and perfect. And ... hello, you know I live for sequins. Yes, please.
ReplyDeleteSecond, my skin has been horrendous since I got off the pill, too! I've been off since last July (also not actively trying, right now), but... it hasn't really gotten better. :(
love the sequins!!! such a pretty sweater. Everytime you wear it I covet :)
ReplyDeleteyour skin will regulate. you're hormones will straighten out. the waiting is such a confidence buster though, I know the feeling.
you're beautiful Doll!
Dang girl, I love that skirt! And I cracked up when I read you hard tagged 'babies on the brain' haha! No skin probs here since I stopped taking it, but I am pretty religious about my skin care regiment so maybe that's why?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful outfit. Love the polka dot skirt and that necklace add the perfect pop of colors.
ReplyDeleteThis too shall pass!! And let me warn you, I went off bc and got pregnant that month...the very first time!
ReplyDeleteI love this outfit. Sequins AND polka dots!! Awesome!
LOVE this outfit and the pop of colors. Turquoise is one of my fav colors, so I want your necklace and pumps ;)
ReplyDeleteThis is my fave look of yours yet!! Love that pop of color, sequins and polka dots. You look so cute!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this outfit! I have that same necklace in orange (thanks for reminding me). Every single piece is just great and together...even better!
ReplyDeleteLoving this skirt and those shoes. So cute:)
ReplyDeleteSuper adorable outfit, but sequins and polka dots are just irresistable aren't they? My skin didn't get weird after getting off BC, but I had a whole host of eye problems! I didn't realize it until recently, because I had to go back on it to shrink a cyst. My eye suddenly became better again! I think the hormone differences must have made my eye shape different and made my contacts fit improperly. Crazy, huh?
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun combo! Love the matching necklace and shoes!!!
