Day THIRTY and the End!!!

March 8, 2011

Day THIRTY of the challenge and I am done, finished, through, mission accomplished and the end!!! I am so proud of myself and even though I had a minor slip I still cannot believe I actually did it.

To let you in on a little secret, it really wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. I missed my shoes more than anything but learned I could get by with the clothing I already own and do not need to buy something for every little event that comes up...I just need to get creative!

Day TWENTY-NINE and Polka Dots....

March 7, 2011

It's a good thing I added this skirt into my 30 for 30 because Tuesday is how to wear polka dots over at Everybody, Everywear. (I wanted to go ahead and post mine since I don't have time to take pics tomorrow.)

Since I am still not finished with my challenge...only one more outfit to go...I could only use tops that I included so the black and white tank and my red cardigan won out in the end.

Headed to Dollywood to do a work orientation so see you lovely folks tomorrow!

Day TWENTY-EIGHT

March 5, 2011

I swear, I am so behind this week! I really loved the FBFF questions this week that Katy over at Modly Chic came up with so I thought I would participate...better late than never.

1. What's your favorite drug store makeup product and your favorite higher-end product?

My favorite drug store makeup product is CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara. A bunch of girls went to a bachelorette party down in Miami last year and the bachelorette let me use her's before a night out on the town and I have been hooked since. My absolute favorite higher end product is DiorSkin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup SPF 25. This foundation works wonders and it is worth every penny! (I wear Medium Beige 030)

2. Is there one type of product that is your go-to, can't live without?

Ever since I have started wearing Lorac Double Feature concealer, I will not switch to anything else. The last time my local Sephora was out, I went on a wild goose chase until I found this concealer...three stores and two different shopping areas later I had it in my possession.

3. What's the best hair product you've ever used?

I love the entire Living Proof hair line but my most used is the Full Thickening Mousse. I am the first to admit I don't do much to my hair but this mousse at least makes it more bouncy and fluffy.

4. Fess up, what's the worst beauty look you've tried to rock and look back at now with a little shame or apprehension that you actually did that?

Personally, I hate the way lip liner on top of lipstick looks on me. That may sound kind of funny but I feel like when I apply lip liner it appears to age me and make my features look harsh.

5. When it comes to beauty products, we all use the same basic products. What do you use that helps show off your personal flare and personality?

I don't really go crazy or extreme with any makeup products...probably the wildest I go is a super bright red lipstick. My new favorite is Bare Minerals in Red Delicious. Thanks again to fellow bloggers Liz and Vanessa for introducing me to this new feel good color.

Day TWENTY-SIX and A Regional Director

March 3, 2011

To make my life just a little bit more of a hell week, the Regional Director flew in from Memphis on Wednesday and was in my office all.day.long! I had to act like I really enjoy my job even though I cried yesterday and want to take a month long vacation and never think about working again.

Speaking of vacations, I am heading to Charleston, S.C. for a long weekend next Thursday through Sunday and it could NOT have come at a better time. Oh, and in case you didn't know...March is my birthday month.

PS-I promise I will be back to my weekly Wednesday "Things That Make Ya Go Hmmm" next week! I forgot about it yesterday, my brain has left the building...

Day TWENTY-FIVE and a Working Nightmare!

March 2, 2011

Yesterday I broke down and cried at work, so embarrassing! We are absolutely slammed this week and I just have way more on my little plate that I can handle so I am calling my incident "stress relief ". After I ate a snack and vented to my hubbie, I was much better the remainder of the day. NOT my finest moment...

I am running out of creative ideas for Kendi's 30 for 30 challenge, thank goodness I only have 5 more days left!

Day TWENTY-FOUR and Weekend Pictures

March 1, 2011

I cheated on the shopping AND my 30x30 pieces!! It's like I went home and lost all self control...and I was so close to finishing too!

Oh well, I did wear part of my 30 for my sister-in-laws baby shower and mom snapped a couple of quick shots on the way out the door. Here are some fun pictures from the weekend.

This entire week is crazy with work and Junior League so I am gonna be VERY short on words the remainder of the week but promise to keep posting my outfits. Only 5 more days of the 30 for 30 challenge!

February 26, 2011

I am so excited to be home this weekend! My little sister is home from college so the entire fam is together (Whitney and I are the only ones that moved away). We are throwing my sister-in-law a baby shower this morning and tonight my parents and I are going to the Brad Paisley concert....good times!

Gotta make this quick, I have a baby shower to attend and promise to share lots of pics next week.
