Day TWENTY-FOUR and Weekend Pictures

March 1, 2011

I cheated on the shopping AND my 30x30 pieces!! It's like I went home and lost all self control...and I was so close to finishing too!

Oh well, I did wear part of my 30 for my sister-in-laws baby shower and mom snapped a couple of quick shots on the way out the door. Here are some fun pictures from the weekend.

This entire week is crazy with work and Junior League so I am gonna be VERY short on words the remainder of the week but promise to keep posting my outfits. Only 5 more days of the 30 for 30 challenge!

Day TWENTY-ONE

February 24, 2011

Let me just tell you today was one of those days. I overslept, my hair was not cooperating at all and to makes matters worse I weighed myself this morning (because I am obsessed) and I was up from yesterday on the scale. I didn't feel like getting dressed so I just threw on my comfy black dress and chambray shirt and called it a day.

Looking back at these pictures I should have taken the extra 10 seconds to put on a belt, or at least a necklace, so I didn't look so sloppy going into work. Hey-you win some and you lose some!

Don't forget to enter the cardigan giveaway...you have until next week!

Day TWENTY!

February 23, 2011

Only 10 more outfits left of the 30x30 challenge...yippee! First it was only my shoes that I missed but as the weather has turned warmer, now I am starting to miss my clothes as well. All my short sleeved shirts are begging to be worn and who am I to neglect them??

If I had to name this outfit, it would be called sugar and spice but who names their outfits..geez. I like the contrast of sweet with my heart print shirt and spice with my motorcycle boots. Who's the girl that acts all innocent and sweet but can still kick your ass...ME! I think I just came up with my own personal version of a superhero.

Day NINETEEN and a Purge...

February 22, 2011

If you asked me what item I regret putting in the 30x30 challenge it would have to be this red dress! I have only worn it twice the entire time and it has driven me crazy each time(the fit is all funny on my body)...if anyone wants it I am putting it in the discard pile after Kendi's challenge is done.

One of my employee's asked me why I was so dressed up today...it must be the sequins! A little sparkle at work used to cause quite a disruption but I was thinking it was becoming more and more common. Wonder what he thinks I look like all the other days, grrr!

Day SEVENTEEN and a Date...

February 21, 2011

This is what I wore on hubby and I's date night Saturday night. For those of you following me on twitter my stupid computer was doing some funky stuff and not allowing me to upload pictures no matter how many times I tried!

We went out to eat and then to see No Strings Attached starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher. There were some parts that I thought were hilarious but some stuff was pretty corny ( my personal opinion.)

Stay tuned for my Sunday outfit post later today...

Day ELEVEN and the weekend...

February 12, 2011

I was doing so good with my little numbers I have been holding up for the 30x30 challenge until today! I had to get creative for number 11 so just imagine they match...it really isn't that big of a deal but I am weird like that.

The rest of the weekend I am gonna:
  • Find a Valentine's Day gift for my hubbie
  • Buy my sister-in-law a baby shower gift for the upcoming shower I am helping host
  • Go weigh in at Jenny Craig (let you know how that goes)
  • Browse furniture stores for a new couch and end tables for the casa
  • Recover from our girl's only Valentine Day dinner last night...too much wine!
Notice what is NOT on my to do list-shopping for clothes or accessories...BAM! I am kicking this challenge in the buttock! (I will probably regret writing that sentence in a week or two)

Day TEN and some FBFF questions

February 11, 2011

Happy Friday peeps!!! This week's questions from Katy of ModlyChic are regarding colors in your closet.

1. What color dominates your closet?

BLACK (what can I say...it's slimming)

2. If money weren't an issue how would you change the color emphasis in your closet?

I am already starting to lean towards bolder colors for the Spring/Summer. I am really wanting to add more red, blue, yellow and pink into my wardrobe.

3. What is your mantra about mixing colors?

I don't really have a specific formula for mixing colors...I just try different stuff together and if it looks good, I wear it and if it doesn't, I don't!

4. For you, how do you incorporate color into your outfits?

In the fall/winter I believe that tights play a HUGE role in adding extra color to an outfit. I also have a big collection of cardigans and shoes that add a pop of color whenever I try and brighten up my OOTD.

5. Which blogger(s) do you think do a good job of incorporating color into their wardrobe?

When I read this question...immediately two people come to mind. Tiffany of A Reason to be Fabulous rocks color like it's going out of style...she seriously looks like a rainbow every.single.day and that's why I love her bloggy blog. Suze of Miss Vinyl Ahoy knows how to pull off every color tights known to man...don't believe me-check out her blog!

Day THREE

February 3, 2011

In case you have not noticed I am taking this week easy and doing simple pairings to showcase my actual items before remixing the heck outta them. Take today for instance, one black dress + colorful cardigan=business casual outfit (at least in MY fashion book).

Does everyone like my necklace?!?! My friend Keeley has started making the cutest necklaces, hair accessories, and baby items and I have just flipped over her creations! As soon as I saw her homemade goodness I turned in my order for two necklaces right away...wanna see the other one, well you just may or may not tomorrow.

Day ONE

February 1, 2011

You wouldn't think by looking at my outfit that this is Kendi Everyday's Winter 30 for 30 challenge but it has been beautiful outside! Granted, I do have on pantyhose and a sweater but who cares because it has been warm enough to wear nude pantyhose instead of tights AND a short sleeved instead of a long sleeved sweater.

I actually thought about going shopping yesterday just because I had a mild panic attack of the shopping ban that started today (yikes), but I didn't. Everyone should be so proud...you hear that hubbie!
