Coffee Fueled

July 21, 2016

DSCN5604

The babies are going through a nine month sleep regression and I.Am.So.Tired.

I swear coffee is the only thing that is helping me get through my daily life.  I am having to double up on my under-eye concealer and use two different ones...it's pretty bad.  Getting the twins to bed isn't the problem, it's them staying asleep.  They go down for 30 minute naps during the day, sometimes 45 minutes at night and pop right back up.  We cannot get anything done! My husband and I have been eating dinner at 10pm at night when we finally get them down for the second time in the evenings.  Ugh, it's the worst.

Swing, Swing

June 26, 2015

DSCN4660

Old Navy has been KILLIN IT so far this summer.

I walked in the other day and it was packed, like outtacontrolpacked. I then realized that it was $1 flipflop day and people were going nuts. While I could care less about rubber flipflops (just being honest) I did notice all the adorable swing dresses they had scattered around the store. To me swing dresses are a goldmine when you are pregnant because they are oversized enough to get lots of longevity out of them. Since maternity clothing is so hit or miss I have been keeping my eye out for particular shapes and fabrics with stretch that I can buy non-maternity instead...for much cheaper than maternity clothing I may add.

I found this LBD tucked away in the 30% off section (added bonus) and it also comes in a bunch more colors.  The length is perfect for a office environment and I can wear it with a cardigan and boots when Fall rolls around. #winwin

These ankle wrap sandals also caught my eye that day (they come in black also).  I haven't tried the wrap trend yet but for $20 bucks...they ended up coming home with me.

The Floral Pencil Skirt

May 6, 2015

011

This skirt is totally out of my comfort zone- for one thing...it's bodycon.
I am not down with any type of fabric hugging my curves and not so toned areas but I found something to wear with it to make it a little more doable for my body type. First a tank top to smooth out all my imperfections, then my trusted denim top that could be pulled together to cover my muffin top.  I'm actually pretty happy with the overall outfit and proud of myself for trying a scuba-knit hugging fabric from Gwynnie Bee.
If you want to break out of your "comfort zone" I HIGHLY suggest Gwynnie Bee. I'm so glad I join last year- I cannot tell you enough how much I have enjoyed this clothing subscription service!
