I hope everyone had a great weekend!

 We spent a big chunk of time outside either strolling the twins around in the beautiful weather or playing and getting the babies use to the pool (my in-laws have one).  We also interviewed four different nanny's:)  We are taking the boys out of the in-home daycare they currently go to and having someone come to us on the days I am working.  Hopefully they won't be getting sick as much and we will have more peace of mind knowing they are at our house.

It has been so extremely hot here and this lightweight kimono is perfect for those kinda days.  I love that it has almost a 70's feel to it cause of the pattern.

Nautical Style

 I have always been a fan of nautical style and this dress is no exception. I love the classic shape and navy and white pattern...of course I had to go the extra step and throw some red into the mix with my necklace.

Tasseled Lace Up Sandals

 I have always been a huge fan of the boho trend. The tassel's, fringe, maxi dresses and of course the accessories are all so fun. I was browsing Forever 21 a couple weeks ago and stumbled across these tasseled lace up sandals and fell in love. They also come in black and bright red, which I really wanted, but I went the practical route and got the nude to go with everything.

Longest Week Ever

 

I have never been more excited about the weekend in my entire life. In addition to working regular hours on Monday and Tuesday on Wednesday I worked a 10 hour day and then immediately had to go to a breastfeeding class at the hospital for 3 hours that night.  So I was on my feet, away from home from 7:30am-9pm at seven months pregnant.  My feet were enormous by the end of the day, I didn't get to eat dinner until after my class and the babies and I were starving, I was exhausted and I promptly started crying the minute I walked into my front door.  (I actually cried twice before bedtime but whose counting)  Then yesterday I worked my normal day...8-5pm and had Infant CPR class from 6-9pm.

The 90's Are Back

I am totally getting a 90's vibe in this floral bomber jacket and I am digging it. Even though this City Chic piece is long sleeved, it is semi sheer and perfect for the weather we are having right now. I wanted to keep the rest of the look current so I added my skinny jeans and a casual tee so I could keep the jacket center stage. If you are not a fan of the 90's...talk to the hand:)

Fall Favorites

It was only 81 degrees yesterday and that was enough for me to add some fall accessories to my outfit. I have not worn this Old Navy vest from last year nearly enough but have a feeling it will be a staple this year over my growing bump. Of course my floppy hat had to make an appearance as soon as the temperature's dipped because I love this thing.

Stripey Bump Love

Whew, you guys...I worked a ten hour patient day yesterday and this mommy is worn the hell out! Thank goodness today is my Friday cause I need to rest, relax and let my feet and ankles get back to a somewhat normal size.

 I should have known my love for all things striped would carry over to my maternity style, like this top for instance. Horizontal stripes are all over every maternity store I have browsed in, which is ironic considering they are supposed to make you look the biggest. Until maternity stores figure out a way to make you look slimmer during pregnancy I will continue to wear stripes.

NoBella Grace has been amazing so far for non-maternity dresses that actually fit me. If you missed my tips for dressing your baby bump earlier this week, one of them was shopping non-maternity stores and just sizing up to save money. This dress is a large which is what I wore before I got pregnant so it will continue to fit after I have my little babies.

  I am beyond ready for this weekend. My husband and I are heading to my family lake house in Cadiz, KY for a modified babymoon trip Friday until next Monday. Since we found out we were having twins we decided not to go on a expensive trip somewhere tropical and save our money instead before they get here. Smart decision but I really wouldn't mind some sand between my toes, palm trees and a virgin Pina Colada.

Summer Maternity Style

 

Please excuse the screen door in my pictures today. I walked outside to snap some photos before work, and it has just magically appeared...I'm blaming the in-laws.

 

  Today I simplified my summer maternity style by wearing just 3 easy items everyone has in their closet. A matte jersey A-line dress keeps me cool in this 90 plus degree weather, a simple necklace and a pair of slip on thong sandals.  Out the door in minutes and still looking pulled together for work.

On The Road Again

I got back in town last night from my jam packed weekend at home with my family. I feel like we got so much accomplished (baby registry at location #2 down, bedding ordered, Nordstrom anniversary sale shopping, lots of eating out and one day dedicated to pool lounging). My mom and sister bought the babies so many things over the weekend...I need to go home more often:)

So the best thing about working at a ophthalmologist office is all the brand new sunglasses we get in every season.  These newbies are by designer Jonathan Cate and I am in love with the style.  My boss and I both snatched them up when our rep was in the office showing all the different sunnies.  I couldn't find the exact pair to link them but I linked to some similar pairs below.

Tie Dye Tank Dress

I'm just gonna apologize now about all the belly holding, touching, etc. that has been going on since my bump has grown and will continue to do so throughout the rest of this pregnancy. I always swore I wouldn't be one of "those ladies" that took pictures with her hands on her bump in every picture so I don't know what the hell is happening.

  Is tie dye still a thing? Is it still even cool? This dress is so comfortable that I really don't care so don't answer that. The colors are so vibrant and you can wear this to brunch, work (like I am here) or even as a swimsuit cover-up. Get your tie dyed beauty here.
