Off Day Style

July 9, 2015

DSCN4721

Just a quick outfit post because this future momma is exhausted. Yesterday was my day off and I dressed comfortable knowing I had to be on my feet the majority of the day. Dentist and lady doctor in the morning and a total of THREE HOURS between registering for the twins and picking out a paint color for the nursery.
  Whew!

Swing, Swing

June 26, 2015

DSCN4660

Old Navy has been KILLIN IT so far this summer.

I walked in the other day and it was packed, like outtacontrolpacked. I then realized that it was $1 flipflop day and people were going nuts. While I could care less about rubber flipflops (just being honest) I did notice all the adorable swing dresses they had scattered around the store. To me swing dresses are a goldmine when you are pregnant because they are oversized enough to get lots of longevity out of them. Since maternity clothing is so hit or miss I have been keeping my eye out for particular shapes and fabrics with stretch that I can buy non-maternity instead...for much cheaper than maternity clothing I may add.

I found this LBD tucked away in the 30% off section (added bonus) and it also comes in a bunch more colors.  The length is perfect for a office environment and I can wear it with a cardigan and boots when Fall rolls around. #winwin

These ankle wrap sandals also caught my eye that day (they come in black also).  I haven't tried the wrap trend yet but for $20 bucks...they ended up coming home with me.

Lace Sleeves LBD

I love the lace detailing on this LBD. It also has ruching side panels that I think hurt me more than they helped me, but that wasn't going to stop me from wearing it. Even though it's the beginning of May I felt comfortable wearing long sleeves yesterday morning to church and didn't get hot at all. The rest of this week is supposed to get up to 80 degrees though so I will be sticking to cooler fabrics but I am not complaining!

Classy, Sultry, Conservative

The three words in the title don't normally come to mind for one single item of clothing but somehow the description nails this dress.

There is nothing better than finding a perfect little black dress. Especially one with leather AND lace details.  I.Am.Dying

I am a firm believer you can never have to many black dresses in your closet-short, long, for the workplace or the weekend...they all serve a purpose!

This Taylor dress is constructed so beautifully and the fabric is forgiving and I'm not sure Gwynnie Bee is getting this LBD back.

Rain Dance

You will never see me doing a rain dance so the title is a little misleading...I loathe rain.  It puts a damper on taking blog pictures, my hair and working out outside (I might not have thought cancelling my Y membership all the way through mmmkay).

I tried to be all festive today whipping out the red tights in anticipation for Valentine's Day but colored tights may not be my thing. I always feel like people are looking at me weird but it may just be my imagination.

Black Out

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target tote (sold out online but may be available in stores), Sole Society Anneke heels (click here to purchase), Old Navy dress, J.C. Penny belt, Gigglosophy heart ring and bracelet (click here for shop), LaMaLu Boutique bow bracelet (click here to purchase)

Three things about this look:

1. This Phillip Lim for Target tote is by far the biggest bag I have ever owned and still trying to get use to the size.

2. Yes- I do have these heels in black and yellow...don't judge

3.  Wearing all black from head to toe makes me feel skinnier, but it might be all in my head.
