This LuLaRoe Lucy skirt makes me so happy! I love the floral pattern and it is silky material and it is great for twirling. I love twirling around when the boys are nearby, they think it is the coolest thing. This skirt also looks fabulous with a chambray top but it has been super hot lately so I needed a basic tee with short sleeves to be comfortable.

 I just love the way a simple tee looks with a maxi skirt. This outfit is so fun and most of all, comfortable. This LuLaRoe skirt is so beautiful in person and I scored a major deal on it! This week is a busy week for me. I am working everyday until Sunday AND our nanny is on vacation and we have someone else watching the babies.  So far, so good but of course I am nervous with a newbie.  Landon also goes to the doctor this Thursday to make sure his little ears healed properly after getting bi-lateral tubes put in a month and a half ago.

 Whew...is this week over yet?!

Maxi Skirt

 I cleaned out my closet the other day and it feels amazing. I am getting rid of so much stuff- some is going to charity, some is going to friends and about twenty or so items I am selling in my Poshmark closet (including this skirt).

Gestational Diabetes FAIL

I received the call from my doctor's office late yesterday afternoon that I failed my gestational diabetes screening test.

  Um, WHAT? Excuse me?! Come again???

I thought it might happen because I have a family history of diabetes but I have been working out and eating semi healthy throughout this entire thing. Apparently none of that matters...skinny and fat woman both get gestational diabetes, it doesn't discriminate. So my next test-a two hour test- is now scheduled for next Friday at 9am (sigh). This test requires fasting, no food after midnight and only water in the morning, and then I drink a even bigger, sugary drink and have my blood tested every hour for two hours.

This is just a bump in the road and I'll do anything for these babies.

I was browsing through Marshall's the other day and the print on this Max Studio maxi skirt caught my eye.  It is the softest fabric ever and I really felt like I was wearing pajamas all day at work.

Of course on one of the days when it was sizzling hot outside I cover up from my head to my feet. The hat came off right away but I took a couple outfit photos first! 

 I am gradually adding more fall pieces into my daily mix.  My ankle boots have been getting lots of action the past week and today I incorporated the short sleeve sweater.  It is still so dang hot outside where I live that I cannot really embrace the upcoming season yet...that hasn't stopped me from shopping for long sleeve stuff though.

I never thought I would get as much wear out of a single piece of clothing as I have this maxi skirt. I can wear it to work like I did below, out running errands like this post and probably dress it up for date night with a form fitting top and higher heels.

One thing I will say is that I always have to cinch my waist with a belt when wearing said maxi skirt because I tend to lean towards boho, more flowy tops and if I pair the two together without one on my body type...it looks like I am wearing a sack. Helpful tidbit from me to you!

Cool and Breezy...

Sunday I laid out for the first time and needless to say I got my first sunburn of the year as well! I was hurting so bad and when it was time to get dressed on Monday, I needed something that would not cling to my lobster skin.  I choose my maxi skirt and a flowy top from Old Navy and made it through the day relatively pain free.

Pink It's My New Obsession!

The title of my post brings me back to one of my favorite Aerosmith songs...I use to crank up that song with my college roomies and have major dance parties in our dorm room, memories.

I found this maxi skirt at a vintage store for like 10 bucks, what.a.bargain! I have been looking for a bright and trendy piece to add to my closet and this hot pink number (Ralph Lauren I may add) totally killed two birds with one stone.

Off to add more Aerosmith songs to my iPod...I am on a roll old school style.
