Madewell Skinny Overalls

 I bit the bullet and bought the Madewell skinny overalls I have been obsessing over for weeks now. They are pretty pricey for my standards, I don't even have regular jeans this expensive but I found a long, lost gift card to Shopbop from 2014 (if you follow my Instastory you saw the whole thing) so they were FREE:)

After debating between the medium and large and even talking online to someone on the live chat I opted for the large and I am so glad that I did! I am normally in a size 6/8 and 150 pounds and the size large was tight on me. They have since stretched a bit and fit perfectly but I had to really suck in my 'mommy tummy' that first try on.

 I love the skinny fit and the length and think I will get a ton of use out of these. If you are on the fence about getting them- just do it and be sure to size up!

Happy October

 

 Happy October y'all or as I will refer to it for the rest of my life as my babies birthday month! I am knee-deep in first birthday party planning and starting to get stressed out. Of course they won't remember a thing but I want it to go like I have envisioned it in my head. Their actual birthday is on a Thursday (October 20th) and I have to work that morning but we are taking them to the zoo for the very first time that afternoon. 

 I am so glad I decided to buy these overalls, I am obsessed with wearing them.  They still have them in the skinny (which I am wearing) and flare version at Old Navy so go get some.

The Overall Trend

 I love new seasons because that means new trends to try. I have been seeing overalls all over my Instagram feed on both curvy and skinny bloggers alike. I thought, "what the heck" and purchased a flare version AND this skinny version from Old Navy. While I loved the flare version they just were not practical for me anymore seeing that I hardly wear heels since having my twins. I ended up loving these- they are very comfortable and while not the best when you have to go to the bathroom (ha), my inner 5 year old is ecstatic about this fashion choice.
