Floral Fantasy

 I took these photos while we were at the lake over the weekend and the background is so gorgeous! I wish I could take outfit photos here all the time. Waking up to this view made me such a happy girl...it is so peaceful and the Internet service is very spotty so I was disconnected all weekend (which is always nice). 

This dress is so different than anything I normally wear and I am digging it.  I love the hi-low hem and the mixed patterns front to back.  The breeze around the lake made wearing this dress so fun.

White Out

As you are reading this my smallest baby boy, Landon, is in surgery having bi-lateral tubes put in his ears. He has had multiple ear infections since he was born and his doctor referred him to a specialist a month or so ago. Of course, they took one look at Landon and his track record and scheduled him for surgery during that same visit. If you could please send up a quick prayer for a successful surgery I would appreciate it!

Twenty Pounds

You guys...I did it! I have officially lost 20 pounds! I started Weight Watchers on May 9th and hit my twenty pound mark this past Monday at meeting.  Clothing is fitting me better, my face has slimmed down and my self-confidence has skyrocketed.  I am so much happier.  I CRUSHED my first weight loss goal and I am motivated to keep on going.  

You may remember just the other day when I wore the top version of this Carmakoma dress, it also comes in shorts (that of course) I am going to try.

 A little personal update today...

The nanny search is narrowing down for my babies. We have our top two potential nanny's coming on Monday to "shadow" me for a couple of hours so I can get a feel for how they will interact with myself and the twins. This process has been very long and I hope to find the perfect fit and we can find someone that will love my babies enough to stay with us longer term so we don't have to do this again.

 I was running late today (mom problems) and this dress was such a quick fix to throw on and still look pulled together for my business casual work environment. I love the little keyhole neckline making it have a little sex appeal:)

Black and Blue

 

 Hi friends! I am back to blogging after a LONG hiatus off. If you don't follow me on Instagram, you have been missing out on the birth of my twin boys (seven weeks early) and daily photos of the most adorable babies for the past four months. Also add me on Snapchat (user name = ashorg) for a behind the scenes look at my new mom life.

 I am in a weird ass stage where maternity clothes no longer fit me but my real, regular clothes are still kinda tight so to be honest I have been wearing mainly workout clothes. Since going back to work a month ago, however, I have finally started to get dressed again so I needed some new duds. I recently went to Old Navy to buy some new spring pieces and this long tunic is a perfect transitional item. It's more of a chambray color and I love the fact that the back is so much longer than the front with huge side slits on both sides. I am wearing it with black denim but I can't wait to try it with my white skinny jeans too.

Boyfriend Jeans and Oversized Tops

I only worked a half day yesterday so it was a boyfriend jeans and over-sized top kind of day.  I'm at the point where I am only comfortable in my flip flops because my feet are swelling at an alarming rate throughout the day.  I was getting so worried about it that I looked up the signs for preeclampsia but I don't have any of the symptoms except the swelling part.  I am going to have to buy some bigger shoes for the fall/winter season so if you know of any comfortable options for not too much money, please let me know!

This Time Of Year Messes With My Mind

 

Labor Day weekend usually ignites a transition from summer to fall for many people so I wanted to go out with a bang in this easy, breezy summer outfit. This top is the perfect send-off to summertime with it's bright cheery yellow color and turquoise accents. Oh, and the white jeans after Labor Day rule...so stupid and totally meant for breaking. 

Since it will be ridiculously hot in Tennessee for a couple more weeks, I will be easing into fall looks with a pair of booties one day or a light, long cardigan the next but not full on transitioning until I absolutely HAVE to. I really have no fall/winter maternity clothes at all and with 2-2.5 months until the twins arrival I don't want to spend a ton of money on long sleeves, sweaters and more denim that I will just be wearing a short time.

Little Black (Maternity) Dress

Y'all my mom bought me this adorable peplum dress for $8 bucks from a second hand children's and maternity store. I am in love with it! It's the perfect little black maternity dress for church, special occasions, work, etc. Of course it would look even cuter with heels but my poor feet cannot handle all this extra weight I am hauling around anymore. They start off (semi) normal looking every morning but by the time I get off work, my feet and ankles are HUGE...it's so depressing.
