When I am trying to look pulled together as I am rushing out of the house with the boys and don't want to wear my usual workout clothes, this is the kind of outfit I reach for. A flowy, plain white tee (I sized up for it to be loose) and my boyfriend jeans and sneakers are easy pieces to grab and go and I feel comfortable running errands all day.
Since having the twins I have worn heels maybe one or two times so my sneakers/ flats collection is growing rapidly. It's just so hard to walk around on heels carrying two babies, plus car seats, plus my purse and a diaper bag that I have started opting for flats so I don't trip and fall. I purchased these Steve Madden look-a-likes on Poshmark (shop my closet here) but they are actually from Target. I love when I find a great deal!

I'm a little late but my house is finally decorated for the fall season, both inside and out. I found this monogrammed polka dot pumpkin at Kirkland's and fell in love (It's a little girly but my husband doesn't seem to mind.)
I have embraced everything seasonal so far starting with the Pumpkin Spiced Latte (obvi), and the faux fur vests, and most importantly what to be thankful for a whole month before Thanksgiving. My family is so blessed this season especially because of the arrival of the babies...the greatest blessing of all.

I only worked a half day yesterday so it was a boyfriend jeans and over-sized top kind of day. I'm at the point where I am only comfortable in my flip flops because my feet are swelling at an alarming rate throughout the day. I was getting so worried about it that I looked up the signs for preeclampsia but I don't have any of the symptoms except the swelling part. I am going to have to buy some bigger shoes for the fall/winter season so if you know of any comfortable options for not too much money, please let me know!

I was 25 weeks pregnant as of this past Saturday. I literally could only have 10-13 weeks left until my babies arrive because my doctor already said there was no way I will make it to 40 weeks with the twins. I am hoping (fingers crossed) that I will make it 37-38 weeks, the longer they have to cook in my belly, the better!
I had my glucose screening test to check for gestational diabetes on Friday morning and ended up being at my appointment for three hours (I was beyond annoyed). I got to see my babies in an ultrasound but the tech wasn't my normal lady and didn't do a good job, I was in a different ultrasound room where the picture was very grainy and Baby A was not cooperating and we still did not get some of the anatomy pictures that were supposed to be checked off the last time. The glucose drink itself was not bad at all...kind of like a flat Sunkist drink but then waiting an hour until they could draw blood (and the television not working that day in the doctor's office) was mind numbingly boring. They took two vials of blood and told me I would get the results this week. On a positive note the babies weigh 1.8 and 1.9 pounds each, had great heart rates, and I had perfect blood pressure and my weight gain was right where it needs to be.

I love Spring!
The trees are budding, all my flowers are blooming and all I want to do is be outside right now. I actually had to work on Friday and Saturday (yuck) but Sunday I went and walked on a walking trail and enjoyed this beautiful weather we are having.
Since yesterday was my only day off last week, I had a ton of errands to run and wanted to wear something super casual. My boyfriend jeans and J. Crew flats are weekend staples...I consider both to be favorite pieces in my closet. Hope you had a fabulous weekend!

Today I went with a more casual Valentine's Day vibe which is more along the lines of what I will be wearing due to the fact that my husband and I still have not made set plans. After being together for so long (almost 10 years) going out to celebrate has been replaced with staying in.

We still celebrate, don't get me wrong, but we have no desire to go out and battle 2 hour wait times for a steak when we can have a nice, juicy Fresh Market steak in the quiet of our own home...just the two of us.

This adorable XOXO tee

Old Navy boyfriend jeans (click here to purchase), Old Navy button down (click here to purchase), Topshop heels, Loft jacket, Sassy Steals necklace, Vera Bradley sunglasses, Couture Crush purse
This past Friday was my five year wedding anniversary...holy shit...FIVE YEARS!
My husband and I celebrated with one of the best steak restaurants in Knoxville, unfortunately it's one of those hole in the wall kinda places so dressing up was outta the question. I went with a denim on denim combo (a twist on the Canadian tuxedo if you will) but added a bright red jacket and polka dot heels to spruce it up.

Loft confetti faux leather sleeved tee (click here to purchase), Old Navy boyfriend jeans (click here to purchase), Sole Society heels (click here for similar), Coach bag-gifted, 3D Fiber Lash Mascara (click here to purchase)
What is NOT to like about this tee?! Faux leather sleeves, graphic black and white print and a super cute exposed zipper in the back for when you pull your hair up into a ponytail midday.
The perfect tee to throw on with boyfriend jeans for a casual, pulled together look or wear to the office with black slacks. Love.it
