Blue and Yellow...

The weather this week has been fabulous minus a few late afternoon showers that leave as soon as they get here. I decided to take my outfit pictures around all the blooming flowers and trees because everything is starting to look so pretty outside.

Prisoner of Stripes

I love stripes and this dress is no exception to the rule, however, in order to look like I have not just come from a prison break I had to add another layer on top of it. 

I thought about adding a bright, colored belt to break up the black and white stripes but decided on my lightweight jacket instead.  I am a huge fan of these boots with my dresses but my husband keeps referring to them as "elf boots".  I have been searching for another pair in tan so if you know of anywhere to get them please let me know.  (I promise I won't tell my husband you helped me out)

Going With The Flow

I completely forgot about this Tucker for Target dress that I bought in 2010 when the collection hit stores (I had been storing it in an upstairs closet that needs to be cleaned out).  I love the silky feel of the dress and it came with a matching belt but I have no idea what I did with it so I just wore it loose and flowy.  The dress is pretty vibrant so I just added my nude wedges and some simple gold jewelry to complete the look.

ColorBLOCKED...

A no-brainer outfit when you are running late because-you-just-started-The Hunger Games-and-got-sucked-right-into-the-book-just-like-the-rest-of-America-and-stayed-up-until- almost-1am-reading-it-and-woke-up-late-for-work.

Running Around Town...

I wonder how much of my life I waste running errands all over town? It seems like all I ever do is pick up dry cleaning, grocery shop, go shopping for someones birthday, wedding, etc.

Today in between all of this I am picking up a little something (or some things) for myself with all my giftcards I got from my birthday last week. Have yourself a fabulous weekend!

Feeling The Blues

I spent a good thirty minutes trying to make this outfit more than it is. I tried a necklace, a scarf, then a vest, then a scarf with a vest and finally decided that I didn't need to add extra layers or accessories.

I just have to remember that sometimes less is more...

Parisian Chic...

I am feeling very "Parisian chic" in this outfit...like I should be strolling down a cobblestone street to a quaint, little cafe to enjoy a coffee and some type of puff pastry.

Instead, I am heading to work but a girl can dream.

Green and Blue

So much has happened in the past week! I have had LASIK, my mom came in town for the weekend, I had a birthday on March 16th, my first St. Patrick's Day pub crawl, we booked a cruise (2 months until we set sail) shopping and eating out nonstop...and I loved every minute of it.

I am trying to get back on track after such a whirlwind week.

I Had LASIK Last Night!

Goodbye contacts...goodbye glasses...goodbye contact solution!

Last night around 7pm I had LASIK surgery after wearing glasses since the 3rd grade. I will literally have a whole new outlook on life...I can see again.

Green, Black and White

Some things in my closet have been around for years and this green top is one of them. I bought it at Forever 21 and it has been worn time and time again which is rare for clothing from that store. Normally I wear it with jeans but I decided to dress it up a bit so it would be work appropriate. Just another reason I should keep it in my closet.

Black and Yellow, Black and Yellow

My bright yellow sweater makes me so happy and since it is very lightweight I hope to incorporate it throughout the spring/summer months. It is a total mood lifter and you cannot be sad wearing this color.

I have a busy, busy week but most importantly my birthday is this Friday!

Colorblocking...

Sometimes I create an outfit just by adding different layers on and it ends up looking decent without me even realizing it. That is what happened with this "color blocked" outfit when all I was trying to do is wear this scarf (finally after having it in my procession for about two weeks now).

Fishnets and Fashion

This was my outfit to the Rogue Runway: A No Rules Allowed Fashion Event that took place on Friday night.

I snapped a couple outfit pictures before the rain started pouring down so the outfit is missing my accessories like my necklace, earrings and purse but you get the general idea. I made it just in time...the rain came right as I was walking inside to finish getting ready.
