The 90's Are Back

August 31, 2015

DSCN5051

I am totally getting a 90's vibe in this floral bomber jacket and I am digging it. Even though this City Chic piece is long sleeved, it is semi sheer and perfect for the weather we are having right now. I wanted to keep the rest of the look current so I added my skinny jeans and a casual tee so I could keep the jacket center stage. If you are not a fan of the 90's...talk to the hand:)

Stripey Bump Love

August 20, 2015

DSCN4974

Whew, you guys...I worked a ten hour patient day yesterday and this mommy is worn the hell out! Thank goodness today is my Friday cause I need to rest, relax and let my feet and ankles get back to a somewhat normal size.

I should have known my love for all things striped would carry over to my maternity style, like this top for instance. Horizontal stripes are all over every maternity store I have browsed in, which is ironic considering they are supposed to make you look the biggest. Until maternity stores figure out a way to make you look slimmer during pregnancy I will continue to wear stripes.

BodyCon Baby Bump Style

August 18, 2015

DSCN4979

For the first time this whole pregnancy I am embracing my baby bump and wearing a bodycon dress. I love the way my bump looks in this Old Navy dress...ahem, that was only $8.99! I picked up this stripy number on Sunday on a random walk through the maternity section and thought the colors would work fabulous transitioning into the fall with a jean jacket, black blazer, etc. I got a large so fingers crossed it will still fit in my eight month of pregnancy (I'm in my sixth now).

Everything Is Black and White

August 14, 2015

As soon as I saw this Adrianna Papell top on the Gwynnie Bee website I knew I had to have it. I am such a sucker for anything black/white and stripes so this was the best of both worlds. This top has a billowy fit that I knew would be perfect over my bump and I love the contrasting stripes. I think this is a Gwynnie Bee keeper! "Preggers"

August 7, 2015

DSCN4872 DSCN4883
Woah. You guys...this Preggers tee is a lot tighter on me than the last time I wore it. I know I keep repeating myself but this pregnancy is going so freaking fast! I'm already in my 6th month of pregnancy and it seems like yesterday I was peeing on the little stick.

I decided to get funky with a classic pencil skirt today, kinda mixing up my regular style just a tad. Instead of wearing a white button up or something boring with this work appropriate skirt I went with the studded wedges, huge polka dot sunnies and this tee. Sometimes it is good to break out of your comfort zone.

NoBella Grace has been amazing so far for non-maternity dresses that actually fit me. If you missed my tips for dressing your baby bump earlier this week, one of them was shopping non-maternity stores and just sizing up to save money. This dress is a large which is what I wore before I got pregnant so it will continue to fit after I have my little babies.

I am beyond ready for this weekend. My husband and I are heading to my family lake house in Cadiz, KY for a modified babymoon trip Friday until next Monday. Since we found out we were having twins we decided not to go on a expensive trip somewhere tropical and save our money instead before they get here. Smart decision but I really wouldn't mind some sand between my toes, palm trees and a virgin Pina Colada.

Casual Baby Bump Style

July 30, 2015

DSCN4823

I originally bought this dress to wear as a dress but surprise, surprise...it is now more of a tunic length thanks to my expanding belly. Since it still fits I decided to wear my boyfriend jeans with it and I like the outcome more than I thought I would.

Yesterday we bought our infant carriers (these are the exact ones) it just makes this pregnancy more and more real!

Festival Days Kimono

July 22, 2015

DSCN4789

If I was going to a festival this summer, I would totally wear this kimono with cut-off shorts.  I love the open back design for an extra surprise when you turn around.  I meant to wear my hair up today but of course I was running late and forgot.  #pregnancybrain

So I know I just saw my parents but they are in town visiting and we are together again.  They are just passing through Knoxville and are staying a couple days with my husband and I before continuing on to Highlands, NC to celebrate their wedding anniversary.  They are so precious!

Tie Dye Tank Dress

July 15, 2015

DSCN4746

I'm just gonna apologize now about all the belly holding, touching, etc. that has been going on since my bump has grown and will continue to do so throughout the rest of this pregnancy. I always swore I wouldn't be one of "those ladies" that took pictures with her hands on her bump in every picture so I don't know what the hell is happening.

Is tie dye still a thing? Is it still even cool? This dress is so comfortable that I really don't care so don't answer that. The colors are so vibrant and you can wear this to brunch, work (like I am here) or even as a swimsuit cover-up. Get your tie dyed beauty here.

Orange You Glad...

July 14, 2015

DSCN4741
This blazer is B R I G H T and I am loving it.
The color said coral but this is more of a inyourface orange and I wore it to work with pride. I love super bright colors in the summertime, especially paired with white denim. I envisioned what to wear with this blazer as soon as it came in the mail on Saturday...don't you just love it when a plan comes together.
