I got compliments everywhere I went wearing this shirt...I just need to attach a S on the end of "buns" and it would be perfect. I found it at Burlington Coat Factory for $12.99 a couple weeks ago proving you don't have to spend a ton on maternity clothes.

Onto the good stuff- my doctor's visit update from this past Friday.
 
Twin A has so.much.hair! He has even more now than he did at his last ultrasound and it is so funny to see it sticking out of his perfect little head on camera. His heartbeat was 138 which is average and in range for 31 weeks pregnant. He weighs 3 pounds, 4 ounces and is the smaller of the two (I keep calling him my little pip squeak). The doctor wants to continue monitoring his growth but he has gained 10 ounces in eleven days which was very good! He is currently in the 34 percentile in weight.

Twin B is lounging right on his brother in my stomach so we still cannot tell if he has hair or not since they are all squished up together. His little heartbeat is 157 and again in perfect range. This little guy is weighing in at 3 pounds, 13 ounces and has gained 7 ounces in the past eleven days. He is in the 57 percentile in weight.

  Both twins are practicing breathing in the womb and are actively kicking and wiggling around. I am going weekly from here on out until I deliver and will continue to do updates after my appointments for anyone that is interested. Not much longer now until the Jackson twins make their debut!

Reindeer Games

 I have had this cute reindeer sweater for months now and thought it was appropriate to wear it today surrounded by all this snow.
(It really is pretty but lawd I am ready to see it go)

 

I hope you guys have a better weekend than I am anticipating...I have to work Saturday thanks to this stupid weather making me take a "snow day" during the week.

70's Feel

I really liked the idea of this skirt when I saw it on the Gwynnie Bee website. As soon as I took it out of the packaging I immediately thought it had a 70's vibe. I decided to run with that idea and paired it with my animal print sweater, chunky ankle boots and my floppy hat.

Sunday Best

 

Hey y'all! Happy Monday!

 Did anyone else get all dressed up in their "Sunday best" and watch the Oscar's? I actually just like watching the red carpet part aka the interviews and the fashion. To tell you the truth I was clueless about most of the nominees (except American Sniper...you would have to live under a rock to miss all the buzz that movie has created).

 

 Onto my outfit...the lining of the dress is blush if you can't tell. Blush is having such a moment right now and I also just ordered this blush/pink Forever 21 sweater (stay tuned for a review on the blog) for my second pale pink item in my closet. I love how this Taylor dress hugs the right places and swings away from the body on my problem areas.  The black lace overlay also helps to conceal making this dress figure flattering AND elegant.

 Our first official snow day in Knoxville! Many people were off due to the weather and sheet of ice on the roads but my office had to be there by 10:30am. I layered up with a turtleneck, fur vest and Northface jacket before braving the elements but took some (super) quick outfit pics before I left.

 

Yesterday was such a nightmare at work. We were having to call and cancel patients due to the severe weather for a seminar we were hosting Tuesday evening and all the surgery patients on Wednesday and it was NOT pretty. People were pissed, real pissed, but the weather is completely out of my control.

Black and White With A Side of Lace

 I wore this outfit on Sunday before the snow and ice hit Tennessee. It was still freezing outside but NOW temps are in the negative.

 

Kushyfoot sent me over some samples and thank goodness for tights this week (I need all the layers I can get).  I am wearing the shaping tights with massaging sole and I was comfortable all day without tugging and pulling up my tights. #theworst
The shaping tights are designed with a firm shaper that tames my tummy, hips and thighs and I swear I could tell as soon as I put them on that they were working.

Sweater Dress Weather

 So last week in my Valentine's Day post I went sans tights for two of the days and this week it is supposed to snow. Grrr....

 

 I love me a good sweater dress to stay warm and cozy. The heavyweight fabric of the dress allowed me to just wear a light cardigan over it for work and not freeze to death.

Hot Pink Date Night

Edgy Valentine

Today I decided to get a bit edgy with my Valentine's Day attire. You can't really tell from the pictures but I am wearing faux leather pants people...faux leather, can ya believe it!

 

I love Gwynnie Bee for the simple reason that I try new things that I would never buy for myself. I would have never known that I feel like a total bad ass in these jeans and that they are actually perfect for ladies night out or to feel sexy on a date night with my husband.
