If you think this dress looks similar to yesterday's, then you are correct.  Same slinky tank dress, just a different pattern.  Thank goodness for this type of A-line shape for a pregnant lady...it's very forgiving and stretchy so it's perfect for my expanding stomach.

Today is my last day of work for the week and then I am heading home to my parents house three hours away.  It's the first time since I told my entire extended family I was pregnant (at 12 weeks) that I have been home, so I cannot wait until they see my baby bump.

If The Shoe Fits...

How stinking adorable is this handkerchief tank top!  I am dying over the quirkiness of it...it is the ultimate summer top.  I can just imagine wearing it with jean cut-offs and Converse and a more classic look with white jeans.  

I hope y'all are not tired of me wearing billowy tops yet, I just cannot seem to wear tight, belly baring stuff...I'm not quite there.  I obviously knew that I was going to gain weight while pregnant but I didn't expect to be so weirded out by it. I have had to diet pretty constantly from high school on and I have fluctuated up and down for years so to see the numbers on the scale continuously going up...it's doing crazy things to my body image.  Last Thursday at my doctors appointment my doctor told me I was to gain a minimum of one pound per week until I deliver...ONE POUND WEEKLY.  I left secretly thrilled with those "doctors orders"- I mean, I have never in all my life been told I needed to gain weight!  Of course I am planning to do it the healthy way and not gorge myself with candy, ice cream and pizza (bummer, right).  A little ice cream can't hurt though;)

Dreaming of Spring

I know I am not the only one when I say Spring cannot come soon enough! (It is currently 30 but feels like 19 degrees while I'm writing this).

 

I am beyond ready to put away all my coats, scarfs and boots but until that day comes I will at least dress in pretty, pastel colors. This Forever 21 knit sweater has an oversized feel to it and it is very soft and comfortable. I ordered the large for anyone interested in sizing. It comes in black and white also but I wanted to add some color in my sweater collection and went with this soft rose color.

Have I mentioned how happy I am that I can wear layers now without burning up from the summer heat?! Chambray and stripes are always a good idea in my book and I am gonna be wearing my white jeans all through the winter.  

 I actually found these pink loafers that I got for $10 bucks last year buried under a pile of stuff in an extra closet we have.  I think they add the pop of color that this outfit needs.

While I wasn't able to take pictures of everything I wore this past weekend, I did snap some pics of what I wore to my friend's bridal luncheon. A busy printed dress was the main piece so I kept the jewelry simple and added a bright clutch for a pop of extra color. Congrats to Neva and Rusty!
