I am BACK...and fever free...and dressed! So when I mentioned I was running a fever in this post, which is also the last time I blogged, it was because I had the flu. My fever got up to 101.8 Monday night and my husband dragged me to the walk-in clinic where I got tested and was promptly told I had the flu, type B. I had to walk out of Kroger with a mask on per the doctor and I.was.mortified. I am feeling soooo much better (thank goodness for Tamiflu) but still have a cough and stuffy nose.

I wanted to do a review of this Cynthia Blocked Shift Dress that was sent from Gwynnie Bee since I am finally out of my pajamas and ready to leave the house for the first time in two days. I really love the floral and black solid mash up and it's no surprise I love the shape (see other shift dresses here and here) but it was just a little bit baggy all over. If this dress was a couple inches shorter I think it would have made a world of difference on me but overall I loved how fresh and modern it was.

Nine West wedges (click here to purchase), Old Navy denim jacket (click here to purchase), Old Navy floral pants, 3D Fiber Lash mascara (click here to purchase), Target button up
Y'all I just got home yesterday and I realized I have only been in town five full days this month...whew! I am ready to quit traveling and just breathe and sit.
Please pray for my grandfather, Papa, who is in the hospital due to complications with back surgery. He was doing better when we went and visited him in Nashville yesterday but the power of prayer is a wonderful thing.

Loft peplum top (click here for similar), Target printed pants, Poshmark wedges
I waited too long to wear this Loft peplum top on the blog and now it is sold out on the website. The obvious reason (besides the color-blocking and modern fit) that I bought this top was because I knew it would look great with any pair of denim I have in my closet.
Turns out it pairs pretty well with my floral printed pants too...

Elizabeth and James wedges (shop similar here), Fashion Bug dress (old), Francesca's necklace (other fun options here and here), Vera Bradley sunglasses (shop similar here)
We did Mother's Day brunch at the country club on Sunday and it was the perfect excuse to wear my (new to me) Elizabeth and James wedges. I have been on the hunt for these shoes ever since I saw them on Poshmark but they were marked for way more than I was willing to spend. After stalking eBay on a daily basis I finally found them and got them for $39.99 and couldn't believe my good fortune.
Join me tonight as I co-host a virtual Posh Party (the theme is Girly Basics) at 7PM PDT. Hope to see you there!

Forever 21 sweater and necklace (click here to buy), Target wedges (click here to buy), Tory Burch crossbody bag, I Heart Ronson for JC Penny skirt
I love the pastel trend for this season but I always start shopping "trends" by taking baby steps instead of spending lots of money on something that might not last. On a recent trip to Forever 21 I saw this pastel pink sweater for a steal...couldn't resist the necklace either.
