My Grass Skirt

I am in love with this skirt.  It's actually out of my normal fashion wheelhouse and it's rather puffy (think ballgown attire) but I hiked it up and layered it with a tank and the t-shirt to tame it. It's comfortable and the pattern is perfect for summer...highly recommend.

I really need more colored denim in my life.  I feel like I wear my pink and blue pants all the time.

Well....apparently I took a one week hiatus from blogging. It wasn't intended and it wasn't like I didn't get dressed last week so my apologies! 

Let's talk about plaid or leopard...or plaid AND leopard.  I bought this scarf on Poshmark(shop my closet) a couple weeks ago and love it.  It is really big so I can wear it a bunch of different ways with a bunch of different things...kinda a win/win in my book.  Everyone knows that leopard is the new neutral so why not throw it into the mix as well.

It's Not Easy Being Green

I have been feeling down the past couple of days so I threw on my new favorite heels and my new favorite fall lipstick (Bare Minerals lip color in Lead The Way) and went about my day with new positive energy.

Tribal Print Skirt...

I bought this skirt from Forever 21 for less than $10 bucks and I have already worn it more times that I thought I ever would, I have definitely gotten my money's worth. The colors are not loud and bright like normal tribal prints pieces are but so far I have not had a problem pairing it with tops.  See how I wore the skirt in another blog post here.

Party Dress...

There is something so easy about throwing on a dress,cardigan and heels and leaving the house...I guess that's why I wear a variation of this outfit all the time. Next week I am really going to try and step outside my clothing comfort zone and start experimenting more with my wardrobe.

To-Go Meals...

Yesterday was the third day I have gone out to eat for dinner...THIRD! I seem to have a problem staying at home and cooking in my own little kitchen so apparently I am taking a foodie tour of all my favorite restaurants in town. I am gonna try and contain myself and eat a well balanced meal tonight at the casa-does a sandwich and chips count? Seriously, does it?

What I Got This Week...

This week I have been yearning for (and bought most of it):

1. After watching the Jaycee Dugard interview with Diane Sawyer I have been obsessed ever since with the story. I just ordered A Stolen Life: A Memoir from Amazon.com and cannot wait to read it.

2. The most amazing cocktail ring and a pair of earrings inspired by a piece of lace.

3. The best summer drink that Starbucks has ever made....I love it!

4. I have decided I want to be one of "those people" that has fresh flowers in my house all the time. I went out and purchased bouquets of sunflowers, roses and daisy's and put them around various rooms and I cannot help but smile every time I walk by.

5. A perfect colorblocking tee....it does all the work for you!


I managed to get two pictures of my outfit before my camera battery died...have a great rest of the weekend.
