Grey Skies Equal Grey Dress

October 1, 2015

DSCN5243

I got this dress at Burlington Coat Factory a couple weeks ago and I love it. It is not maternity but I did have to size up to a 1X because of the baby bump but it was cheap and oh so comfortable.

On another note, does anyone have any ideas how to treat heartburn besides Tums? All the sudden I am getting heartburn twice a day and it is really getting on my nerves. I know it is a very common pregnancy symptom in the third trimester so it has sprung up right on target but I cannot deal with two more months of this...help me.

I have had the most productive weekend in ages which is a miracle in itself considering I am now 30 weeks pregnant (holy....what). My mom was in town for my local baby shower and she lit a fire under me to get things done and pretty much complete the twins nursery. I cannot wait to show off the finished product- we are just looking for a couple more things to complete it and then I am posting pictures.

Also I feel the need to talk about this Nobella Grace high low cut dress.  First off, it's not maternity and I linked to the regular and curvy size below.  Second, it is literally a perfect transition piece for the weather the majority of people are having right now.  I am planning on wearing it with tights and boots when the temps get a little cooler.

Old Navy can literally do no wrong during my pregnancy. I am in love with all the swing dresses they have had both maternity and non-maternity. This one is sadly gone but I linked up to some similar options below.

Yesterday was my 29 week ultrasound and Baby A is weighing 2 pounds, 10 ounces and Baby B is 3 pounds, 5 ounces. My doctor seemed a little concerned with the weight difference and said I actually needed to up my calories and start eating more to try and even the twins out. They have always been a little different in size, but twin B has really jumped ahead in the past two weeks and twin A has barely grown. I am actually losing weight at this point and that was another big concern. Basically the twins are sucking everything out of me and she said I will start to feel really drained and dizzy and could start passing out in the future unless I start eating more. I have to start eating 5 small meals a day instead of the typical breakfast, lunch and dinner thing and in addition eat a handful of nuts or the nuts and dried fruit combo every hour to an hour and a half. I have been feeling fine up until this point so that really shocked me but I am going to do what she says (obviously).

On a positive note, Baby A has a headful (or tuffs) of hair! We got an ultrasound picture of his hair blowing in the breeze and it is the cutest thing ever. We couldn't ever tell if Baby B has hair because he is literally laying on Baby A's stomach right now sideways in my belly. We did get to see him blowing air bubbles into the amniotic fluid while he was practicing his breathing though which was super cute.

Back To Black

If you have been following for a while now, you know my love for Old Navy Rockstar denim. I finally broke down and bought these Rockstar maternity black jeans and I am in love. They are softer than any of the other maternity jeans I currently own and so, so comfortable. I will be wearing and styling them at least once a week until I deliver so prepare to see a lot of them.

This weekend was exactly what I needed after my hellish week last week and I am recharged, well rested and ready to see my babies at my ultrasound today. Stay tuned for the update tomorrow.

Longest Week Ever

I have never been more excited about the weekend in my entire life. In addition to working regular hours on Monday and Tuesday on Wednesday I worked a 10 hour day and then immediately had to go to a breastfeeding class at the hospital for 3 hours that night.  So I was on my feet, away from home from 7:30am-9pm at seven months pregnant.  My feet were enormous by the end of the day, I didn't get to eat dinner until after my class and the babies and I were starving, I was exhausted and I promptly started crying the minute I walked into my front door.  (I actually cried twice before bedtime but whose counting)  Then yesterday I worked my normal day...8-5pm and had Infant CPR class from 6-9pm.

Neutral Stripes and Hat Weather

This maternity tunic is on super sale right now at Old Navy and comes in neutral, navy and black. If you are pregnant (or even if you are not) it is the softest material and very comfortable. Am I the only one that actually likes dressing my bump?!

Comfort Statement, Not A Fashion Statement

I've had to make a few fashion compromises because I can no longer squeeze these feet into stylish shoes.  I'm officially making a comfort statement- not a fashion statement with my shoe selection from here until the end of my pregnancy.  I went to WalMart and bought the cheapest neutral flats I could find ($9.97) and ended up going up to a size 9...I usually wear a size 7.5.  I have not tried on my boots yet but pray I can fit into at least one pair for two more months.

I know that palm leaf print is normally more summer related but I loved the colors of this dress so much I wore it anyways.  Stretchy shift dresses are going to be my saving grace going into the colder seasons, I can't wait to start adding layers so this bump doesn't appear so huge:)
