Put A Bow On It

I got three inches cut off my hair and while that may not seem like a big deal...I can tell I am already putting my babies first before myself and they aren't even here yet.
Let me backtrack...
For years I have gone to Salon Visage here in Knoxville and got my hair cut and highlighted and paid a pretty penny doing it. I love it there and the staff and me time but it is expensive. I have not gotten my hair cut or highlighted since March when I found out I was pregnant and my hair was the longest it's ever been thanks to the prenatal vitamins and healthier lifestyle. I walked into Ulta the other day and for a $10 donation they were cutting hair for Breast Cancer Research Foundation. I realized I could buy diapers or baby clothes or something special for my babies with the $100 plus dollars that I give Salon Visage normally every couple of months and I sat down and got the cheapest haircut I have ever had in my life.
It may not be that important to most people but I can tell I am changing and putting my twins first before myself and I pray that is a step in the right direction that will make me a good mother.

Well, I had my weekly ultrasound visit on Friday and it kind of sucked. I am officially on pelvic rest and no longer allowed to exercise and do any sort of heavy lifting and was told from here on out to sit more than I stand. The good news is I am not on full blown bed rest and can still work...is it weird that I count my job as a plus?

Nothing like a little red dress to make a pregnant lady feel special.
As of last Friday, I am measuring (fundal height wise) 38 weeks pregnant even though I am just 31 weeks and have over 7 pounds of combined baby weight inside of me. So basically if I was having a singleton pregnancy I would be very close to full term and possibly already delivered my baby BUT I have to keep on going...oh, the joys of multiples.
Not much longer now until I get to meet the new little loves of my life.

I got this dress at Burlington Coat Factory a couple weeks ago and I love it. It is not maternity but I did have to size up to a 1X because of the baby bump but it was cheap and oh so comfortable.
On another note, does anyone have any ideas how to treat heartburn besides Tums? All the sudden I am getting heartburn twice a day and it is really getting on my nerves. I know it is a very common pregnancy symptom in the third trimester so it has sprung up right on target but I cannot deal with two more months of this...help me.

I have had the most productive weekend in ages which is a miracle in itself considering I am now 30 weeks pregnant (holy....what). My mom was in town for my local baby shower and she lit a fire under me to get things done and pretty much complete the twins nursery. I cannot wait to show off the finished product- we are just looking for a couple more things to complete it and then I am posting pictures.
Also I feel the need to talk about this Nobella Grace high low cut dress. First off, it's not maternity and I linked to the regular and curvy size below. Second, it is literally a perfect transition piece for the weather the majority of people are having right now. I am planning on wearing it with tights and boots when the temps get a little cooler.

If you have been following for a while now, you know my love for Old Navy Rockstar denim. I finally broke down and bought these Rockstar maternity black jeans and I am in love. They are softer than any of the other maternity jeans I currently own and so, so comfortable. I will be wearing and styling them at least once a week until I deliver so prepare to see a lot of them.
This weekend was exactly what I needed after my hellish week last week and I am recharged, well rested and ready to see my babies at my ultrasound today. Stay tuned for the update tomorrow.

I have never been more excited about the weekend in my entire life. In addition to working regular hours on Monday and Tuesday on Wednesday I worked a 10 hour day and then immediately had to go to a breastfeeding class at the hospital for 3 hours that night. So I was on my feet, away from home from 7:30am-9pm at seven months pregnant. My feet were enormous by the end of the day, I didn't get to eat dinner until after my class and the babies and I were starving, I was exhausted and I promptly started crying the minute I walked into my front door. (I actually cried twice before bedtime but whose counting) Then yesterday I worked my normal day...8-5pm and had Infant CPR class from 6-9pm.

On Friday I walk into my OB appointment like I have a hundred times and do all the routine stuff like pee in a cup, get weighed (blah), get to see my babies (yay) and then meet with the doctor at the very end. Well imagine my surprise when the doctor prances in and tells me I start going in for weekly visits starting on Sept. 21st and that she thinks based on who the hell knows that I will probably have the twins between 35-38 weeks pregnant. I will be induced at 38 weeks if I don't go into labor by then.
(Panic immediately sets in)
Um, WHAT?! I am 28 weeks right now so I could potentially have children in.my.arms in the next 7-10 weeks MAX. I am no idiot. I know from research that twins always come early and 36 weeks pregnant with twins is considered full term. I knew that I would never make it to December 5th, my actual due date, but I also never considered that they might be here on October 30th, right at 35 weeks. They went from being Christmas babies to potential Halloween babies...my mind is blown.
