Put A Bow On It

I'm a little late but my house is finally decorated for the fall season, both inside and out. I found this monogrammed polka dot pumpkin at Kirkland's and fell in love (It's a little girly but my husband doesn't seem to mind.)
I have embraced everything seasonal so far starting with the Pumpkin Spiced Latte (obvi), and the faux fur vests, and most importantly what to be thankful for a whole month before Thanksgiving. My family is so blessed this season especially because of the arrival of the babies...the greatest blessing of all.

The material of this top is not really sweatshirt material, but it is oversized and long and just what this mommy-to-be needed today to feel comfortable. It does have faux leather trim on it so I am styling but feeling like I am in a pajama top. #winning
I swear when I put these maternity jeans on this morning they felt tight. Can you get to large for your maternity jeans...is that even a thing? My bump is getting rather out of control but I really, really don't want to buy more maternity clothes for just a couple weeks worth of wear. Ugh...

I got compliments everywhere I went wearing this shirt...I just need to attach a S on the end of "buns" and it would be perfect. I found it at Burlington Coat Factory for $12.99 a couple weeks ago proving you don't have to spend a ton on maternity clothes.
Onto the good stuff- my doctor's visit update from this past Friday.
Twin A has so.much.hair! He has even more now than he did at his last ultrasound and it is so funny to see it sticking out of his perfect little head on camera. His heartbeat was 138 which is average and in range for 31 weeks pregnant. He weighs 3 pounds, 4 ounces and is the smaller of the two (I keep calling him my little pip squeak). The doctor wants to continue monitoring his growth but he has gained 10 ounces in eleven days which was very good! He is currently in the 34 percentile in weight.
Twin B is lounging right on his brother in my stomach so we still cannot tell if he has hair or not since they are all squished up together. His little heartbeat is 157 and again in perfect range. This little guy is weighing in at 3 pounds, 13 ounces and has gained 7 ounces in the past eleven days. He is in the 57 percentile in weight.
Both twins are practicing breathing in the womb and are actively kicking and wiggling around. I am going weekly from here on out until I deliver and will continue to do updates after my appointments for anyone that is interested. Not much longer now until the Jackson twins make their debut!

I have never tried a long kimono before but like the long and lean silhouette it creates and the open front to make way for my growing (on the daily) bump. Kimonos are such great accent pieces to throw on over every day basics like my black, skinny jeans and white tee.

If you have been following for a while now, you know my love for Old Navy Rockstar denim. I finally broke down and bought these Rockstar maternity black jeans and I am in love. They are softer than any of the other maternity jeans I currently own and so, so comfortable. I will be wearing and styling them at least once a week until I deliver so prepare to see a lot of them.
This weekend was exactly what I needed after my hellish week last week and I am recharged, well rested and ready to see my babies at my ultrasound today. Stay tuned for the update tomorrow.

Labor Day weekend usually ignites a transition from summer to fall for many people so I wanted to go out with a bang in this easy, breezy summer outfit. This top is the perfect send-off to summertime with it's bright cheery yellow color and turquoise accents. Oh, and the white jeans after Labor Day rule...so stupid and totally meant for breaking.
Since it will be ridiculously hot in Tennessee for a couple more weeks, I will be easing into fall looks with a pair of booties one day or a light, long cardigan the next but not full on transitioning until I absolutely HAVE to. I really have no fall/winter maternity clothes at all and with 2-2.5 months until the twins arrival I don't want to spend a ton of money on long sleeves, sweaters and more denim that I will just be wearing a short time.
Have you guys heard of Liz and Honey? It's a new-to-me website that I have fallen in love with and also where I got my cute top (it's sold out but here are similar pieces). They are offering readers $10.00 off to shop with this link and who wouldn't want to take advantage of that! I have my eye on this, this and this for my next purchases.

Yesterday was my 3 hour Glucose Tolerance Test and this is what I wore. Since I was just sitting in the doctor's office I wanted to be comfy and super casual. Yesterday's test was definitely worse than the first screening test that I took. For starter's they took my blood three different times- fasting level right when I arrived and two more times, every hour on the hour after the drink. The drink was much worse this time around...more sugary and a higher concentrate of glucose that immediately made me feel really weird (I swear I could feel the drink running through my system).
As soon as I was finished at the doctor's, I went home and ate something and literally passed out. I never felt normal all day and I know it was from that crazy test messing with my glucose levels. As soon as I get the results (no later than Friday) I will blog about it.

I am totally getting a 90's vibe in this floral bomber jacket and I am digging it. Even though this City Chic piece is long sleeved, it is semi sheer and perfect for the weather we are having right now. I wanted to keep the rest of the look current so I added my skinny jeans and a casual tee so I could keep the jacket center stage. If you are not a fan of the 90's...talk to the hand:)

I was 25 weeks pregnant as of this past Saturday. I literally could only have 10-13 weeks left until my babies arrive because my doctor already said there was no way I will make it to 40 weeks with the twins. I am hoping (fingers crossed) that I will make it 37-38 weeks, the longer they have to cook in my belly, the better!
I had my glucose screening test to check for gestational diabetes on Friday morning and ended up being at my appointment for three hours (I was beyond annoyed). I got to see my babies in an ultrasound but the tech wasn't my normal lady and didn't do a good job, I was in a different ultrasound room where the picture was very grainy and Baby A was not cooperating and we still did not get some of the anatomy pictures that were supposed to be checked off the last time. The glucose drink itself was not bad at all...kind of like a flat Sunkist drink but then waiting an hour until they could draw blood (and the television not working that day in the doctor's office) was mind numbingly boring. They took two vials of blood and told me I would get the results this week. On a positive note the babies weigh 1.8 and 1.9 pounds each, had great heart rates, and I had perfect blood pressure and my weight gain was right where it needs to be.
