Gingham Love

 Has anyone ever ordered from Shein.com before? I was skeptical at first cause of the reviews and cheap prices but ordered four pieces and this darling top is one of them. I love the gingham print and the lace up detail but I wish the front was a tad longer but that's just a personal preference.

I also ordered this dress that fits like a glove and I am obsessed with it, but it's sadly sold out. The other two tops are really short in the front and I am still debating whether or not to keep them.

Prism Print Wrap Top

 I found the sweetest little spot to take pictures over the weekend, isn't it so pretty! I love the purple flowers that are in bloom and all the green. This spot won't be pretty much longer as Fall starts approaching so I hope to take as many pictures as I can before things start turning brown.

This City Chic wrap top is so fun.  I love the colors and that you have the option to make it as tight or as loose as you want.  I have started wearing my fall/winter shoes again and just had to wear these pretty little bow flats from J. Swing Pintuck Top

 

 I adore this Old Navy swing top and it's perfect for hiding those last pregnancy pounds (7 more pounds to lose before I am back to pre-baby weight).  The pattern is super cute and it comes in white and pink too.  

Today is my birthday and the grandparents are coming over tonight to watch the twins so my husband and I can go out to eat to a nice dinner and hopefully have some wine and birthday CAKE- yum!

 I am so glad I ended up buying this Kayce Hughes necklace last year. I love those impulse buys that end up being something you reach for again and again and this is one of them. If you have a Kayce Hughes store in your area definitely check it out! They have such cute classy pieces...check the store out online- I have my eye on this and this. I am going home next weekend for my mom's birthday so I won't get to celebrate Mother's Day with my mom but the card is already in the mail and she gets a birthday gift next weekend so I think she will be happy. A group of my friends are getting together on Sunday to do brunch since all of our parents live out of town.

Blue and Yellow

 Blue and yellow together are such a great color combination. I love how each color makes the other color POP. Also, how great is this Anthro necklace I picked up on Poshmark for a fraction of the cost. You need to get on Poshmark if you are not already for the bargains and follow me because I have a ton of stuff for sale.

 I had some extra time to curl my hair and it just proves how much of a beginner I am. It took 30 minutes and I burned myself...that's why it is a rarity folks:)

I have never been so happy for the weekend in my life...this week was a doozy work wise.  I was so exhausted yesterday that after work I took a 2.5 hour nap and woke up at 9:30pm (good grief).  No plans this weekend except for a friend's baby shower and I plan on doing absolutely nothing the rest of the time.

Ok...so...the infamous blanket scarf is now around my neck...how did this happen?!  I saw this trend spread like wildfire on blogs and Instagram alike and put off and put off getting one for myself mainly because of the Zara blanket scarf hefty price tag (who PAYS that much for a freakin scarf).

 I then saw affordable (yet just as cute) blanket scarves hit local retailers and finally FINALLY bit the bullet and bought one.  Aerie has some of the best patterns around in my personal opinion for just $29.95!

Moving right along to the lower part of my body...hello L'eggs boot tights.  These tights have a unique ribbed foot built in to help your boots fit better in your tights.  Every lady needs a pair and luckily you can pick them up at Target, CVS, etc. so basically every corner.  If you missed my post yesterday featuring the L'eggs Convert-A-Tight you should really check it out.

I actually built this outfit from the braid down.

I use to rock the side braid all.the.time and I have really been slacking in experimenting with different hairstyles this year.  The boho flowy top and bright blue skirt seemed like a natural pairing and it was only fitting I added my new favorite summer shoe...the gladiator sandal.

I love these printed pants and finally found a way to incorporate them into my business casual office environment.  Flats, toned down colors (since the pants have a lot going on pattern wise) and a simple statement necklace keeps the outfit from being overly flashy.
