 My husband said the print of this dress reminds him of country living haha. He is kinda right so I added my cowboy boots and couldn't decide between my jean jacket or denim vest so I took pics of both. Which one to do like the best...comment below!

Weekend Vibes...

 

 I love Spring! 

 The trees are budding, all my flowers are blooming and all I want to do is be outside right now. I actually had to work on Friday and Saturday (yuck) but Sunday I went and walked on a walking trail and enjoyed this beautiful weather we are having.

   

 Since yesterday was my only day off last week, I had a ton of errands to run and wanted to wear something super casual. My boyfriend jeans and J. Crew flats are weekend staples...I consider both to be favorite pieces in my closet. Hope you had a fabulous weekend!

Wide Legged Pants

 

 Wide legged drawstring pants = never wanting to take them off and wear anything else again. I am SO glad that palazzo pants are making a comeback this season (or were they ever gone)...regardless, they are the perfect mesh of comfy and casual. Also these pictures make me VERY aware that I need a tan ASAP.

 I love this little boho dress so much! I bought it weeks ago and it's finally warm enough to be able to wear it. Sadly it is sold out but I linked to some other cute options below.  I swear this dress is green, color is Forest Night, but the color is looking cray on camera. Hands down the most comfortable dress I have ever worn...I could sleep in this thing!  

 

My friend Neva and I went and saw Fifty Shades of Grey on Sunday and I am just now at the point to talk about it. I literally felt like I was watching soft porn in the theater...I don't know what I was expecting cause I did read the books but I wish I wouldn't have wasted my money.

My Birthday Suit

 

 Oh hello March 16th, we meet again! 

 It's my birthday and I am ready to celebrate being born:) I may or may not have eaten cake for breakfast...true story. I am all packed up and ready to drive to Nashville on this beautiful sunny day. Tonight my family and I are going to Kayne Prime for a birthday feast and some celebration drinks to wash it all down.

   

 My "birthday suit" consists of my Old Navy skinny jeans and this adorable floral and stripe peplum top. The colors of this top are so much more vibrant in person...perfect spring transition piece.

The 1950's Are Back...

I am beyond obsessed with this little navy and white polka dot number! It fits like it was made for me and I love the vintage fit and flare shape. I added the white belt, yellow pumps and vintage earrings to amp up the 50's feel and love how the overall outfit turned out.

   

 Tonight my husband and I are doing my birthday dinner with my in-laws (cake and ice cream...yes please). Floral Fusion

I am BACK...and fever free...and dressed! So when I mentioned I was running a fever in this post, which is also the last time I blogged, it was because I had the flu. My fever got up to 101.8 Monday night and my husband dragged me to the walk-in clinic where I got tested and was promptly told I had the flu, type B. I had to walk out of Kroger with a mask on per the doctor and I.was.mortified. I am feeling soooo much better (thank goodness for Tamiflu) but still have a cough and stuffy nose.

 

 I wanted to do a review of this Cynthia Blocked Shift Dress that was sent from Gwynnie Bee since I am finally out of my pajamas and ready to leave the house for the first time in two days. I really love the floral and black solid mash up and it's no surprise I love the shape (see other shift dresses here and here) but it was just a little bit baggy all over. If this dress was a couple inches shorter I think it would have made a world of difference on me but overall I loved how fresh and modern it was.

A Little Slice of Sunshine

 

 The snow and ice finally melted and we got sunshine over the weekend! 

 I was so happy to get a little glimmer of warmth and blue skies but of course I got sick and was running a fever yesterday and stayed in bed all afternoon. (Woke up from a two hour nap and no fever...it was the strangest thing) 

I wear my skinny jeans so often that I forget how much I like wide legged jeans until I pull them out again. I have had this Loft pair for years and they are still my favorite pair. This bright yellow boho top is a newbie in my closet but I am already envisioning it with crisp white jeans and wedges when the weather gets a tad warmer.
