Blue Shades

Happy Monday!
The weekend went by in the blink of an eye for me...anyone else feel the same? Since I'm in semi nesting mode I washed all the baby bedding to get it ready for the cribs over the weekend, ate more pizza that I would like to admit (seriously 3 different pizza places this week alone)and got caught up on all my DVR'd shows.

  The last time I wore this kimono, my pregnancy was still a secret to friends, family and social media. Seems like only yesterday...

NoBella Grace has been amazing so far for non-maternity dresses that actually fit me. If you missed my tips for dressing your baby bump earlier this week, one of them was shopping non-maternity stores and just sizing up to save money. This dress is a large which is what I wore before I got pregnant so it will continue to fit after I have my little babies.

  I am beyond ready for this weekend. My husband and I are heading to my family lake house in Cadiz, KY for a modified babymoon trip Friday until next Monday. Since we found out we were having twins we decided not to go on a expensive trip somewhere tropical and save our money instead before they get here. Smart decision but I really wouldn't mind some sand between my toes, palm trees and a virgin Pina Colada.

Kimono's Are ONE Of My Pregnancy Staples

I hardly ever wore kimono's when I wasn't pregnant but they have been one of my pregnancy staples since I have started getting bigger in my stomach, arms...well everywhere really. Check out other ways I have worn kimono's here and here. 

  Dresses are also a no-brainer maternity staple. I couldn't have survived this far into my pregnancy (21 weeks and counting) without them. Great news is most are actually just a size up from my regular non-maternity sizing so hopefully I will still be able to get some use out of them in the years to come.

Red, White and Blue Strong

My red, white and blue game is still going strong this week. I forgot about this J. Crew cardigan with little anchors all over it so I had to create a nautical (and apparently patriotic) look around it.

I'm so excited for today...my husband and I are going to start registering for the babies.  I have been doing my research (like for hours on end) so I am ready.  Let's do this!

Twirling Top

 

 This top is MADE for twirling!

I think this is one of the first things I bought when I found out I was pregnant and you can probably see why...even if I gain 500 pounds (yikes) during pregnancy  I would still be able to wear this oversized top.

Seeing Stripes

 You may (or may not) be able to tell that I went back to my natural dark hair color over the weekend...bye bye highlights! I just needed something easy and low maintenance with all the upcoming changes taking place in the future and my husband and I are saving all the money we can before the babies arrive. We had a pretty boring weekend cleaning out all the upstairs closets and getting loads of unwanted stuff ready for a yard sale at the end of the month.

 I went to the pool on Saturday for a couple of hours and then went to another trunk show for Southern Bella and bought MORE stuff from them. I can't wait to show you some of the new inventory in my upcoming blog posts.

Bluish Grey

 I love the Jennifer Lopez Collection for Kohl's line. Every time I go into Kohl's for whatever reason I can always count on JLo for coming through with at least one top or dress for me to leave with. The pleating on the back of this one makes it extra cute, love that added detail! I'm off work today and have about a million errands to run. My mom AND my husband's birthday are both within the same week (next week) so I have got to get the finishing touches for both of their presents before I go home to spend time with mom and the rest of my family over the weekend.

Weekend Vibes...

 

 I love Spring! 

 The trees are budding, all my flowers are blooming and all I want to do is be outside right now. I actually had to work on Friday and Saturday (yuck) but Sunday I went and walked on a walking trail and enjoyed this beautiful weather we are having.

   

 Since yesterday was my only day off last week, I had a ton of errands to run and wanted to wear something super casual. My boyfriend jeans and J. Crew flats are weekend staples...I consider both to be favorite pieces in my closet. Hope you had a fabulous weekend!
